You know how we told you that Tim was on the Royal Variety Performance bill and that we’d let you know when it was due to be aired on TV? Well that time has finally come!
Tomorrow, 14th December, Tim will be appearing on the Royal Variety Performance on ITV1 (and ITV1 HD) from 7:30pm! Also appearing will be the likes of Penn and Teller, Jason Manford, Greg Davies and Cee Lo Green, amongst many others. Which of his songs was deemed royalty friendly? Well you’ll just have to tune in to find out!
As well as this, Tim will also be popping on to the Matt Edmondson Show on BBC Radio 1, from 9pm, to host a musical songwriting masterclass with him. Who knows what gem of a song will be written! As usual, this will be available to listen to worldwide both live and on iPlayer afterwards, and there’ll also be a podcast available here.

I have finally seen Matilda at the Cambridge Theatre in London. It was amazing, what a fantastic birthday treat. I strongly recommend it to all, young and old! x

Is there going to be a piano vocal score of MATILDA published? Would love to do WHEN I GROW UP with my primary school choir. have transcribed it with chords, but would be so great to have all the songs

@Reagan: you can buy the Heritage Orchestra DVD! :) It is easy to order from Amazon UK, and you can play it on any computer. Just download a free VLC player here: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Most new TVs can hook up to a laptop or computer too. See? It’s not so bad to live in the US (except the hysterical Christianity, the massively egocentric worldview and all that…)

@Ragean At least he comes to your country. I live in Denmark, and, even though there is a pretty strong Tim Minchin fan base overhere, and everybody speaks english, no one considers us for a gig :( Tim Minchin live in Copenhagen is my biggest dream (allmost… Okay, well, a very big dream, like up there with ending capitalism and what not) :P

The Royal Variety Performance was recorded 5th December, and I believe Matt Edmondson was also pre-recorded, so no worries about the gig tomorrow night!
