Due to overwhelming demand five new dates have been added, in London, Cardiff, Birmingham, Manchester and Nottingham, to the spectacular UK arena tour of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s legendary rock classic Jesus Christ Superstar!

As we first announced here Tim was delighted to be cast in his dream role of Judas Iscariot. He’ll be joining Melanie C as Mary Magdalene, Chris Moyles as King Herod and newly crowned in thorns and adrenalin by public vote on Superstar Ben Forster as Jesus for rehearsals next month.

Tickets for the tour are priced at £45-£65 and are available online from www.jesuschristsuperstar.com.

All dates are listed on the calendar on this site’s Gigs page and you can keep an eye on the the Jesus Christ Superstar website or their Twitter account or Facebook page for further information and updates.

I agree, a DVD release would be great for Tim’s Aussie fans to see him in action!

Hi Kirsten, Sarah and Ian,

At the moment we’ve not been told whether there will be any DVD release of the show or not. All I can promise you is that if there is going to be one we will announce it on this site as soon as we can.

Will there be a DVD release in the future? I am not able to afford the cost of the ticket and the transport :/

Kirsten on 27th of July 2012

Could an official person confirm whether there’s going to be a DVD or not please? I’d love to go but being a poor hard up student for the last 3 years means I probably won’t be able to afford tickets for me and my mum. So a DVD would be great!!!!

Why doesn’t this arena tour go further north than Glasgow? Aberdeen has an arena too!

Unfortunately I agree with Karl. Though I’d like to see Tim in JCS, with the recession.. We’re gonna have to pass on this one. Maybe they’ll bring it out on DVD/Bluray.

I love the idea for the cast but the price of tickets is just too higher most normal working people then add in transport costs .. sorry Id love to see the show but at £45 minimum me and the wife will just have to miss it..
good luck.

To go twice, or not to go twice, that is the question:)
