Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

Hello! I'm going to be cheeky and ask everyone here to help me by signing this petition. It is to get better support for students with hidden disabilities like Asperger's Syndrome and Autism. I myself have Asperger's and I'm 17, so I know how little help you get at school. Please sign it and tell everyone you know to sign it! Tim, if you read this, pretty please with sugar on top could you sign it too? Can't wait to see you at Sheffield later this year!!! :) :) Thank you in advance to anyone who signs. Here's the link: http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/ASD-In-Schools/ Love from Willow

Sister Of Kiwi on Friday, 31 July 2009

i love your work, why else would i be leaving a comment. i'm not very good at leaving funny coments or being funny in general so i guess this message will disappoint. but i thought i should leave you a comment saying i'm going to your show in dunfermline in scotland. and so is my sister. she isn't 6 foot 4 but she is a kiwi (nickname from way back) and since she's only 14 i was wondering is it actually possible for her to come to the show? i've bought the tickets but we'd rather know now if she can go rather than have her little heart broken on the 9th of october. i don't expect an answer but if you don't ask you'll never know. thanks for your time and sorry for the massive comment. = )

Wish we had enough cash to see you back then but I guess you hear that all the time from the "I saw him first!!" wannabe's. Well, I love you Timminchin and would really love to see your live shows in Scotch Land in October but we'll be in Oz... Tim, you are about the most incredibe thing in comedy I have ever seen. The perfect mixture of comedy, reason, virtuosity and musicality! I was just curious, is there any way you might ever come to germany? ^^ I don't dare to hope, and I don't suppose you're popular over here, but who knows, munich has nice little jazz-clubs ;-)

Hello, thought I would let you know that today, when I answered the door and the man standing in the rain said "hi, im from BT, about your broadband" i cracked up. I being the only "cool" one in our household am the only one who has ever seen your work, so whilst I was collapsed in a fit of giggles on the stairs I was getting a lot of funny looks off everyone else. Thats what you do Tim. You make me laugh. Thank-you. Can't wait till I see you live in September at the Lowry Centre in Manchester. I will be the one in the stalls shouting "Marry me Tim!" Have a good day. xx

Michael M - The Guy With Lots Of Free Time. on Wednesday, 29 July 2009

Unhealthily obsessed by your music sir, unsure if I am happy or upset about the fact rock 'n' roll nerd seems to describe me as well as it does you ... and I'm only seventeen! Should I be worried? Either way heading over to Glasgow, despite essentially living in Dunfermline, to see you on my Birthday (Oct 11th Yeah?) I excited as a pleasantly plump person who finds a lift next to the stairs. Hope your enjoying touring and although this may sound like a joke I am seriously looking to buy a piano but I would gladly accept yours as a gift. Keep up the good work!

Anna on Wednesday, 29 July 2009

just booked to see you in Northampton, so excited can't wait, you are as funny as hell and your piano playing is out of this world - roll on Oct

Hi Tim, What's the greatest distance any of your fans has travelled for one of your shows? My daughter will fly from Phoenix Arizona to Sydney, then drive to Canberra for your December 2009 show. All in one day! She likes your stuff! (I will be the fat old bloke sitting next to her, wetting my pants, hopefully from laughter)

Manx-Michelle on Wednesday, 29 July 2009

I miss being a crazy fan. I need to stop doing normal things and start practising again before Hammersmith, or I might be mistaken for someone normal. I'll have to find my angry feeter shirt too. See you there! xx

Hannah de Ville and Tasha O'Leary on Tuesday, 28 July 2009

Hey, TIM :) We're huge fans and we're seeing you in October at the Apollo in London, we can't wait!! We had seen you on buzzcocks and various other things, but never really knew what you were about, until we watched you on E4 and found you fucking hilarious! We then watched you on youtube and found you even more fucking hilarious. Since then we went and bought tickets :). We were also wondering how we could get hold of your "Rock n Roll nerd" DVD because it seems to be only coming out in Australia. Also on a more serious note we share the same views as you on pretty much everything, e.g. homeopathy medicine and religion ...Anyway we can't wait to see you, we are coming on the Saturday, row S, come say hello, give us a wave and a wink, we're both girls with hair and we're sixteen. So you won’t miss us :) WE LOVE YOU. PS. We live in north London, where do you live??? We want to bring you Ginger (don't mean to offend) cookies :D

Jenny T on Tuesday, 28 July 2009

I know you've been wondering how i'm doing...i'm fine, kids are good, the mitsubishi handles like a dream and BT are on their way out to fix the broadband so all is going well. By the way, am loving your work fella, am booked to see your f**king f*nny muso musings at The Lowry, Salford on Sept 2nd...(good luck with finding a decent Deli there!)Keep 'em coming dude. Now we're all spreading the word!!

Riku on Tuesday, 28 July 2009

Hey, I wanted to ask something but your Angry (Feet) Question thread says it's closed, or is that to put off people like me, haha. It's not that important but for now I'll just say I really loved watching your So Fucking Rock Live DVD. I shall go before I come off like a crazy fangirl. Jade on Monday, 27 July 2009

Tim! I think you saved my life this morning. There is a song which my husband and brother love to torment me with called Banana Phone, for the simple reason that it gets stuck in my head for days on end. This morning was day 3 of "ring ring ring Banana Phone." I thought it was probably going to be the end, my ears would start bleeding or my brain would start hemoraging. Then like an angel of mercy a regular customer at the coffee shop I work at (who had just returned from a trip to see his family in Perth actually) came in bringing me a copy of your So Rock DVD... So Rock is currently stuck in my head (in the good way) and I think I will make a T Shirt which says "So Rock Killed the Banana Phone in my head." Thank you sir, you have done me an invaluable service!

EJ on Monday, 27 July 2009

Saw you for the first time the other night. Totally f**cking awsome!!!! You are so talented, your family must be so proud of you and what you have achieved. Long may it continue, hopefully coming to see you in Oxford or Perth

Hmmmmm...How do I write a witty and articulate comment that sounds somewhat unique and not a cliche'd sorta Ego boost....hmmmmmmm... Fuckit Tim Minchin, you're coming to Dublin,of course when the schools start again. What a way to look out for a fellow Rock n Roll Nerd :( alas I suppose I shall forgive you as you make me laff an awful lot :) also so does your wife and her sinister humor :L much loveage Jordii x p.s: I concur with the others when they say you are extremely sexy :P

Jenny on Monday, 27 July 2009

I was reading the comments to see if anyone had said something insane enough so that'd I'd be able to say 'Your hair is so damn sexy it makes me want to lick your face!' but no one has... ah well I said it anyway in a roundabout sort of way. Oh, and my friend says he'd go gay for you... apparently you have a new stalker....

Hello, Tim. I am a huge fan. Your music is very entertaining and quite comical. I think you make some very excellent points in many of them, but you make them in a way that is amazingly clever. I really wish you would come to the United States. I would absolutely love to see you live. Oh and I must say that my favorite songs so far are The Song for Phil Daoust, Rock&Roll Nerd, Storm, and The Good Book. My dad loves Dark Side. I wish you the best of luck with life, and thank you for giving me a good laugh on several different occasions.

Bubi on Saturday, 25 July 2009

Vicky on Saturday, 25 July 2009

wow, the fact that people can empathize with your lyrics, whether it's 'if you open your head too much and your brain will fall out', or 'taboo', people can use your lyrics to help their own lives, i was going to come and watch you in warrington in september but i cant get any money to book a ticket... darn! and i was wondering whether you would please send me an autograph because i wont be able to see you live until next year... it would be incredible to see you in person, but thats not going to happen hehe, anyway, cut it short, keep up the excellent work and come back up to the north west of england soon!!! ^.^ x

Thank you thank you thank you for coming to Dublin to let me see you! Can't wait for tonight and to see you again in September (and Hammersmith in October!)

Peter on Saturday, 25 July 2009

I'm very jealous of your ability to write songs that incorporate complex vocabulary. I try, but fail, and cliché wins through. You're a great pianist and songwriter and kudos all round. It's very hard not to sound sycophantic here! Keep it up.

Kai on Saturday, 25 July 2009

Tim. I think you are amazing. Keep up the good work and don't stop writing. You have a talent that far surpasses other comedians.

Helen on Saturday, 25 July 2009

Hallo!! I don't normaly leave comments on things like this but just wanted to leave a comment to say Thanks loads for doing what you do, I've been going through a really hard year and just listening to your work make's me so happy, I'm a fan of a lot of comedians but I feel your work is extremely unique, it's clever as well as funny, I look forward to seeing you in Newcastle city hall. It would be nice to hear a lot of new material from you but I also look forward to hearing your older songs so I can sing along. Good luck with your new tour. xxx

Sam on Saturday, 25 July 2009

Hi Tim, I think it's great that your show on E4 was a big hit in England, I first saw you being very serious in the gilded balloon 2005 singing Hallelujah and your voice blew me away. You are so talented and they lyrics you write are inspired (and all true in a round-a-bout way). I'm a little jealous you are getting more mainstream now as you were my guilty pleasure. Please never stop, much love xx

Hannah on Saturday, 25 July 2009

In a weird way, I think your gorgeous!! And your hilarious. I love "having a quiet poo in an alley way" and your also amazing at singing,

Alexander on Friday, 24 July 2009

Hey I've had your song "10 Foot cock and a few hundred virgins" stuck in my head foor a while and have been singing it all day... Where do you get thes ideas?

Farrah on Friday, 24 July 2009

Hey! If you ever come to North Carolina in the States and I get the chance to go to the show, I'll bring you cookies... Since I don't think I'm capable of swimming to the UK, at least not with cookies. =p I love your music, comedy or without. You're just lovely <3

Dovile on Friday, 24 July 2009

I laughed so hard I cried... Damn you. You're hilarious, my favourite comedian by far! Keep up the amazing work :]

Fuzzz on Friday, 24 July 2009

Rather impressed by you, glad I booked my tickets to see you in Aberdeen. Slightly worried about the apparent lack of understanding of the English language by post of the people posting on here though....

Kirstie on Friday, 24 July 2009

Hi. Could you PLEASE come to Luton, England on tour? I'm crazy about your stuff and I desperately want to see you live, but every time you've come near enough to where I live for me to go, I always get there just in time for you to be sold out. It's depressing, but I still love you. Never stop what you're doing, even if I never do see you live. I hope you get the best out of life, 'cos you deserve it just for many so many people happy. Saw you last night on e4 you are a genius coming to see u live at the Buxton opera house and can not wait

Trevor Smith on Friday, 24 July 2009

So, I'm sitting there watching 'Buzzcocks' and thinking, "Apart from Jupitus, I don't know any of the other people on this show". Wait for the credits, Tim Minchin, "Who he?". Surf the channels looking for a good film and, stone me, Mr Minchin is on E4 too. "Must be popular" I muse. Watched the show and thought, "This bloke really is something different and surreal. Well, maybe not that different if you consider Bill Bailey, but nevertheless I like his style". Today, though, the little bastard has got a lot to answer for. Not only did I have a late night, which was also short due to my bladder dictating how much sleep I could get because I'd tried to fill my body with wine, but I've spent several hours watching YouTube when I should have been painting the outside of my house... AND, the git has cost me money! I've just bought two tickets to his show in Northampton on October 27th - there'll be hell to pay Timothy if you do an Inverness on me! I suppose there'll be further costs involved in buying DVDs, CDs and a bloody T-Shirt for the wife - who thinks you're rather cute! (She's always had a dubious ability for character assessing - after all, she married me!). It's started raining, so I can't paint the outside of the house now - you're really starting to get on my tits with your time-wasting antics, Minchin. By the way, did you write "Rock 'n' Roll Nerd" for me? I've got loads of songs and poems that no-one's ever going to hear or read (unless you want to contact me and I'll share them with you - if you ever get stuck for material that is. Somehow, that seems bloody unlikely!). Anyway, when you're playing Northampton, give me a shout from the stage; I'll be the bald, 58 years and 4 month old, geezer toward the back of the stalls... I've got to go and find a quiet corner now.

Hollie Perry on Friday, 24 July 2009

Mr Minchin, i like you so much it makes my eyes bleed and my tongue go green, it's terrible, sometimes the pain is utterly unbearable to the point of taking my own life, and maybe others along the way. It's all worth it though! Aaaaaahhhh yes, it is. Hollie, Shropshireeee

Marc on Friday, 24 July 2009

*uc*ing brilliant! ;o)

Robyn on Friday, 24 July 2009

Hi Tim I resonantly watched one of your live shows it was very good. I would just like to say I love what you can do with your voice it amazes me, because I find it really difficult to change my voice when I'm sing e.g go from high pitch to low pitch with out going to medium pitch if that makes any sense at all. Also I really like one of your songs I think it is called "Not Perfect" it kind of makes me think I should change the way I think about life because Im what you might call an Emo.

Hey Tim! You naughty devil you!!! I was supposed to be doing an assignment for my MA degree last night, but made the (fortunate) mistake of turning on E4 and was hooked to your show from the start! Ah well... nevermind. I'll fail my degree, but at least I'll do it while laughing my arse off to your songs and anecdotes! Ruddy amazing stuff dude! Hope to catch you in York or Manchester. Oh, your wife sounds hilarious too and congrats on the 'digital camera'!

Lissy on Friday, 24 July 2009

Hey Tim, watched you on E4, have been a fan for a while, but had never heard the song "you grew on me" before, my fiance and I sat there listened to it and because we are well matched in sense of humour agreed that we would play your song at our wedding! We not only love the idea of being original but when we take that first dance, I want to see the looks on our guests faces, I thought you would appreciate the humour too!

Should have gone to bed hours ago - but instead have sat up and watch the program on E4. Haven't stopped laughing. Funny, funny, funny! Have even looked when you are playing Manchester. Excellent news - Lowry on my birthday. Not so excellent news - I already know the babysitter isn't available. Will definitely make it to see you as soon as I can though. Keep up the good work.

Goggs on Friday, 24 July 2009

Laurie on Friday, 24 July 2009

Brilliant!!!! Funny, witty arty new... a great fresh appealing look. Your songwriting is modern and catchy. I was so surprized and glad to hear something with a bit of an edge compared to a load of crappy tv and old comedy that we've just all seen too much of.Bit of a downer with your stuff about God being a christian.I'm sorry religion is given such a bad press but enjoyed the rest of your music a lot! Can't wait to see your show in Belfast.Enjoy your tour!

You are SO talented, I'm just watching your Tim Minchin : Live performance on E4, & yes you're funny, but MY GOODNESS Your music, oh it's soooo awesome! & I'm sorry, I know, but Your eyes are AMAZING! LOL...Right, now I sound like an out of control fan =S lol But Seriously, your music, omg I'd heard you were a comedian, I didn't realise you're an actual real life musician too! You're voice (When you're not messing about) is SO GOOD! & you play beautifully! I'm not one for watching comedians usually, but I started watching this, just cause I was watching E4 & it came on, but I STAYED watching, cause of the music - AMAZING! Loved the "Peace Anthem" LOL Made me laugh =D Thanks for doing what you do! =D (Oh & come to the dark side more often - We have cookies!!! lol)

Taryn Blair on Thursday, 23 July 2009

Hi, Just watching you on tv I think you're great! I'm from Perth too, my husband reckons you went to Hale school, he's trying to work out why you don't have a particulary Aussie accent - or is that just your stage voice???

Emma aka Honeycomb on Thursday, 23 July 2009

Ooh you're great! And more than a bit gorgeous!! Roll on the Hammersmith gigs!

Laura Lexx on Thursday, 23 July 2009

Henry on Thursday, 23 July 2009

I'm too young (43) to really know about Tom Lerhar, but your stuff reminds me of his, and of course lots of other sarcastic, post-ironic piano comics, but you do it right, and make it your own. Your poem Storm was recommended on The Atheist Experience, a public access call-in show I watch (on the web since they are in Texas and I'm in California). The poem includes a lot of references to what you are like in real life, and it piqued my curiosity, so I checked you out on Youtube. Brilliant. If you ever tour in Northern California, I'll definitely buy a couple of tickets. (My wife didn't care for If I Didn't Have You, but she loved your hungry hippos bit, so I think she'll come along.)

Heather from Fife on Wednesday, 22 July 2009

Hi Tim!! Cant wait to see you in October in Dunfermline! Keep up the great work! xxx

Helen atchison on Wednesday, 22 July 2009

hi tim i love you more hahaha =;-D

Tammy Reynolds on Wednesday, 22 July 2009

Hi, I was watching the rain through my window and then it suddenly got sunny and all the birds came out of the shelter and were flying in the sky, it reminded me of this song: Comptine d'un autre ete. It's in the film Amelie and I thought you of all people would appreciate it as much as I do. So if you have the time listen to it, its a beautiful peice and it shows how beautiful this world can be.

Beth on Wednesday, 22 July 2009

Tim, you are immense. Not only do i love what you do, i pretty much love you too. Corr, Thursday's gonna be awesome... Well... Unless you fuck it up of course......... But i'm sure you won't. You're the best. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X. X.

Willem on Monday, 20 July 2009

Hope you come to Holland some day. It's right across the Channel from England, if you look closely, you'll see it on the map. Our English is great. Try the Crossing Border festival. Last time I was in GB I bought the So F'in Rock DVD. Me and my friends love it. My friends are all Dutch, too. I think there's an audience for you here, Tim! Best, Willem

Looking forward to seeing you in September Tim. My friend gave me the youtube link to "storm" a few months back and I was hooked. I then passed your name around like a pretty boy at a federal penitentiary. Your Irish fans grow each day. Keep up the awesome work!

Sally Hurford on Monday, 20 July 2009

Hi Tim. I just burst into tears walking through the Botanical Gardens in Melbourne listening to 'White wine in the sun'. I should clarify that I'm 38 + weeks pregnant expecting my own baby girl any day now, I'm 9'000 miles from home and I'll be having my first family christmas in 8 years this year where we will be handing round our jet lagged infant daughter like a puppy at a primary school. Such a beautiful, poetic song. Keep them coming. Sally

Zack A. on Monday, 20 July 2009

Hey Tim! I was introduced to your work by my buddy and guitarist Cameron. I am a huge fan of comedy and being an aspiring musician I have a tremendous amount of respect for your writing and performing talent. I love watching your work and hope to see you if you decide to come over to the US. (preferable Ohio somewhere near Dayton or Cincinnati) seeing as how traveling overseas is expensive. Wish you all the best with your career. Zack A.

Kat Carroll, Bellingham, WA, USA on Sunday, 19 July 2009

Is there a US/Canada tour in the offing? I think your songs are brilliant and would love to see you perform live and while I'd love to travel, getting to the UK or Australia is quite expensive. I hope your promoters or whoever makes those decisions considers bringing you to the New World soon. Have you considered attending or performing at The Amaz!ng Meeting, hosted by the James Randi Educational Foundation in Las Vegas? It's an annual conference of skeptics that would be right up your alley. We had over 1000 attendees this year. TAM8 will be at the Southpoint Hotel/Casino in July 2010. Hope to see you there!

Jason W... you don't even know... on Saturday, 18 July 2009

Annie on Saturday, 11 July 2009

I don't normally do this sort of thing so you are very special Tim. Or have just got yourself a new stalker. Either way I'm leaving a comment. I just wanted to say that you are so underated and it is a shame that not many people appreciate your genius. I know that Tim probably won't actually read this comment but still wanted to put it anyway. I discovered you at the Secret Policeman's ball and have been hooked ever since :). Annie. P.S Not Perfect is a masterpiece!!

Cy. on Thursday, 9 July 2009

I saw that your playing in Ireland in October, but I'm...not exactly 16 yet. I'm really bummed I won't be able to go, cos no one else in my family-or friends for that matter- will come with me, and none of them have realized how fucking awesome you are yet, Tim XD Anyway, you're an amazing person. You're so witty and exciting. Not to mention that awesome Aussie accent you have <33 Love, Cy~ (Oh, and congrats on the new kid, by the way. Sorry my congratulations are late XD;)

Hi Tim :) I have relatively single-handedly introduced my school to the wonders of your music. My cds are getting worn out from all the times they've been uploaded :) Congratulations, of course, and I hope you're all doing well. Now for the requisite begging: Please, please come to the USA. I visit England every year, but you're never there when I am. Specifically, come to Boston, but anywhere in the USA is ok too :) Thanks for being so amazing. Emma W.

Your songs Balsa Wood & Glue, Outstanding Woman, My Neighbours Ass and Lament of the Three Toed Sloth part of a new album based around the Seven Deadly Sins? Greed, Lust, Envy and Sloth there… Is this simply coincidental or are you planning on creating Pride, Wrath and Gluttony songs too? Cheers Sam
