Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

I had a dream last night that you showed up at my house for dinner, then we hung out in my room and you ate a bunch of waffles on my bed. You kept on talking about how you were worried that being a ginger was contagious and that the orange would spread from your hair to your skin and turn you into a giant carrot. Then you decided to slide down the railing on my staircase, and I proposed to you, and you were like, "Erm... You don't like guys, remember?" and I was like "Oh yeah. ...Okay, fine, don't marry me! Could you give me a hug instead?" You did, and I gave you some more waffles, and we agreed to go to a church and throw carrots at people's heads next week. Anyway, I woke up and decided that it was the most amazing dream ever. -Much love from a 17-year-old lesbian! (Only one more year 'til I can pretend you've written a song about me... Hahaha)

Em on Saturday, 30 January 2010

Hello there Tim, first off, I've been a fan of your work for a while and I would just like to say that there is never a time when I watch you play and don't smile/laugh/sit in awe. I think you're a true artist, an erratic individual, and ridiculously popular - but the world will never tire of your amazing otherworldly skills! I love your style and your crazy hair and I think you should take it for a walk and please come back to Perth in Australia - we miss you!! Em xxx

Hey Timmmmm, Me and a friend took a punt on you at the Lowry a few years ago when you were, by your own admittance, unknown. i emailed you through your fansite as i'd had my purse nicked that night and i couldnt buy a canvas bag. you emailed back. *SIGH* i will admit however, we sat down and agreed if you were crap, we'd go and get pissed. you werent, we didnt. well, until afterwards anyway. Good work timbo, keep it up!

After seeing you at the Apollo in London, I can't get enough of your songs & humour. Your CDs are on in the car constantly & my partner calls it 'being Minchined' every time I quote one of your lines! Waiting for 'Ready for this' DVD to be available in the UK.

Jessica Lee-Ann Hamilton on Tuesday, 26 January 2010

Hey,Tim! I am 18, and an up and coming student for Studio Art program at the University of Maine. Just wanted to tell you that I am a pretty new fan and I absolutely love all your work. It's great to see such an intelligent, musically inclined man who also combines that with his extreme hilarious-ness. I'm from the United States so we don't have many people such as yourself here :P I would love for you to tour the United States and in particular come to Maine. NO ONE -ever- comes to Maine. Did I stress enough that no one -good- ever comes to perform in Maine? haha. Keep on, keeping on you funky ginge.

Kiera Jeanne on Tuesday, 26 January 2010

Alex Kelley on Sunday, 24 January 2010

I was just curious what kinds of styles you really use in your music. I'm a music student from West Virginia US. I've searched lots of videos and i can't really find a style that matches yours at least enough to the point where i would want to learn it. But your piano skills are very inspiring. Any help.

Rebecca Lucy Milburn on Sunday, 24 January 2010

OMG you are f-ing amazing!!! i play the keyboard and i wondered if you could give me some tips please. i want to learn to play as good as you you are my idol! i mean to play a song (that you wrote) wrong on purpose WOW! and in "dark side" that piano solo-AMAZING! where do you get the inspiration?! xx

Pootle wishes she was a weejie on Sunday, 24 January 2010

Just watching Dr Zhivago and saw Tim Minchen caught in a time loop of 45 years ago. Very pleased to find I'm not the only one who thinks he's a Klaus Kinski lookalike. Ahh..sanity is mine after all...

Ash2thaG on Sunday, 24 January 2010

Hey Ginger, Thanks for bringing light and laughter into an otherwise mediocre existence! ( I added the exclamation mark so as to exclaim that my life is rather mediocre, Just in case you were confused and thought that I do actually like it. Of course I bloody don't, It's boring you nutjob.) But no really, Keep up the fantastic work! On a final note....Only a ginger can call another ginger ginger!

Sky on Saturday, 23 January 2010

Chris Herbert on Friday, 22 January 2010

Hey tim, ive not long discovered you, a friend named Sam Mackintosh told me about you and, fair play you were great. I laughed my ass off and love your sense of humour. I'd love for you to come to brimingham or somewhere round there and perform :) I have to say though, your song Taboo, is aboslutely fucking genius. Thanks :P

Nathan de Gargoyle on Friday, 22 January 2010

I've only just discovered Tim via a link on the "Science, Reason and Critical Thinking" blog http://crispian-jago.blogspot.com/ (mind you I think he got the Storm tattoos the wrong way round) but then I'm over 50 so I don't catch on so quick these days. Briliant! Tim Minchin is the Tom Lehrer de nose jobs!

Kevin on Friday, 22 January 2010

Intelligent comedy at its finest. So nice to have something meaningful instead of the usual…er in addition to the usual potty mouthed humour these days. Come to Vancouver soon!

Adam Foster on Friday, 22 January 2010

Brilliant stuff. I'm another one that doesn't add dorky comments on entertainer's web sites...although I just did, didn't I? Your humour and music are truly great and I'm waiting patiently in Vancouver, Canada for your concert appearance. And now I'm wondering...should I nip out to the lobby for a pee or save my seat?

shauna on Thursday, 21 January 2010

Timothy, come back to the UK asap please and thankyou.

Travis Marshall on Wednesday, 20 January 2010

Tim, Please come play on the grass in Bellingham, WA state. If you refuse that's ok. I'm not too fond of being from London and travelling to the farthest reaches of the US either. Can you at least play in Vancouver BC? I have one of those little blue phamplets with my picture fixed to the inside... I'll drive the distance. OR, maybe I'll stop being lame and typical in instisting you come to me... I'll find a way to one of your shows sometime (suggesting that I absolutely will not be hit by a train between now and then). Take care, and keep up the brilliance!

Isaac on Wednesday, 20 January 2010

Tim, I just watched Rock & Roll Nerd and I have to say, you and your wife are just the sweetest people I've ever seen, you're no racist, you're a wonderfully talented person and I hope to see you play live someday soon! Maybe you might drop by Dublin, Ireland sometime soon eh? Keepup the great work! Isaac

V. Evans on Wednesday, 20 January 2010

I've only written "fan-mail" to two people in my whole life; Jewel and Tim Minchin. You're inspiring Tim, you and people like you (funny, talented people) make the world a fun place to live in. Thanks for the laughs.

Katey B on Wednesday, 20 January 2010

Just discovered you. You are writing the thoughts that I have in my head (only not quite as witty and well-put-together otherwise I'd have your act and be as successful as you). Glad just to bathe in your brilliance, and look at your smile. I'm with David Tennant on his thoughts of White Wine in the Sun. xxx

Trevor p on Wednesday, 20 January 2010

Im the straightest guy u will ever meet but!!!! Im in love with this man! Really hoping theres gonna be some 2010 tour dates in the uk. Keep up the amazing work tim!

Claire H on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Bonjour! Ive recently been introduced to your good self by my girlfriend. She raved about you and was prancing around singing your songs which lead to a few puzzled looks from me :) She first showed me "5 poofs and 2 pianos" to break the ice as i must admit i was a bit of a doubter..alas before the song was halfway through I knew you were my type of comedian, plus you wear eyeliner so get brownie points. Anyway, I thought I would pass on my praise and pray that you will soon venture to the northern regions of England pretty darn soon. All the best to you and yours x

Abbie love-yule (yes that is my real name!) on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

hey tim i just wanted to say that you are brilliant and i love your hair i wish i could play piano like you but im pretty crap lol. i love all your songs but people tend to move away from me when i start singing 10 foot cock and a few hundred virgins or star singing fat children next to the fattes persine in class ok i sound like some wierdo obsesive stalker who has memorized all your songs off by heart but i havent i only know a few off by heart. well once again you are the best funny briliant peonist and comedian hopefully see you when you next come to the o2 in london. a big but not obsesibve fan Abbie.

sam on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Talia Clarke on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Hi Tim, Just want to know when are you coming to Ireland - really really really would like to see you live!!

Dean Milic on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

Hi Tim Just a little message... Wikipedia, being annoying, and almost always incorrect, are now saying you were born in Northampton, UK... this is untrue i think, because you were born in Perth, WA You should call those no good liars and fix that up!

Jim Fox on Tuesday, 19 January 2010

I'm not 14, 15 or 17 so I still try to use readable English. Very glad the wife and I discovered you! Hope to catch you next time you are in the UK. It's ok, you can use the word, 'dodgy'; we understand. Much prefer 'White Wine...' on 'Ready For This?' DVD (not that I have bought this - but I think it is the version I like on YouTube) over CD (I do have this; two of them). Just keep the piano - you don't need the band to distract from your voice! Hope you enjoy the good things success brings. Thanks.

melissa graham on Monday, 18 January 2010

hi tim ,i'm 14 years old,i love your songs and your comedy there are so awesome,i love listening to your songs really loud in my bedroom.once i was listening to inflatable you really loud in my room and my mam came in and said what are you listening to,i was like ooops hahahaha.she thinks your songs are weird but she doesn't understand your talent like i do and other people do.you play the piano beautifully i could listen to you on the piano all day.with playing the piano so long in dark side i think you should try and do a record on how long you can do the piano hahahaha.i like the way your ideas just pop up in your head and you write them down in a song.you must have a very creative mind.when i try to sing your tongue twisters in your songs i get lost i don't know how can keep on doing it all the time hahaha.from melissa p.s hope you, your wife and your kids are well. x

Holly on Monday, 18 January 2010

Hey Tim. I'm 17 and I've loved your stuff for quite a while now. Me and my friends are quite musical, and I've seen how what you do has influenced them and me :) Sure we're not as funny as you but it's fun, and we have you to thank for that. I hope you have a great 2010, and maybe come to Bournemouth again!? Much love xxxx

MR. MINCHIN! Tim Minchin, hello! Saw your live thingy on E4 and it was brilliant, you really are very good. Well done for being good. Someone said to me today that your sister had her Gap Year in england, helping out at a school called CLFS. I was wondering if this was true. It was a while ago. I remember a lady called Miss Minchin, who was australian, who was also kinda cool. But yeah, congrats on being good at stuff, it's pretty neat. Phoebe xxxx

Christopher Travers on Friday, 15 January 2010

Hello Tim from Santa Monica, CA. Having recently discovered you via BBC America and your various chat show appearances - I downloaded your only CD available on itunes (why aren't here more Minchin CDs there???) and you blew me away. You're a real talent Tim - plain and simple. I ordered two more of your CDs and a DVD from this site and I eagerly await them. Any chance you might come to America? (To Los Angeles specifically.) If not, we will make every effort to catch up with you in the U.K. one day. Keep the faith...

Emma on Friday, 15 January 2010

Jenna Clarke on Friday, 15 January 2010

Hello, I'm not from London or Ireland or somewhere classy like the Maldives. I live here in Taree NSW, and in one month I have awesome seats to your show in Newcastle. I really hope you do a tacky Meet & Greet with fans afterwards, coz we think you are oddly fantastic. :)

J.C. on Thursday, 14 January 2010

Mr Minchin (don't know you personally and 'hey mate' is just pure patronising)I winced, whimpered, cringed, laughed and suffered double incontinence whilst watching your show on E4. I actually stumbled upon it whilst flicking through the channels and immediately felt that the messiah had finally revealed himself in your...(difficult to describe you without being insensitive) unusual physical form. Your prophectic insights, disturbingly accurate observations and poetic pontifications have converted me to become one of your devout followers, in a non-stalking sense. So when will you be charting a course for Ireland? We haven't gone completely secular over here yet so bring some bodyguards!

Magdalena on Thursday, 14 January 2010

Cześć Tim! I would love to have a poster featuring you!I have been looking for it online but it doesn't seem to exist. World needs posters of you! If I ever get one it would be displayed proudly above my bed. And I don't think my grandma will mind cuz you look a bit like Jesus (she is strongly religious). Anyway, love your music, love the lyrics. Really big fan! And by the way Cześć means hello in my language xxx

kerri on Thursday, 14 January 2010

Estelle on Monday, 11 January 2010

You're too talented for your own good!! How could someone possibly give you a bad critique on here? I thought Jools Holland was the pianiester, but you are greater by far. You have made the piano and classical music cool, and that is an achievement in itself. I thought Michael MacIntire was the funniest man I ever saw on TV... but... you have surpassed them all in a most amazing interdisciplinarity fashion. You even have like 20 years on the other funny guys. I was blown away by your show on E4 the other night. Please come to Manchester UK!! xxx

emily taylor on Monday, 11 January 2010

heyy Tim :) tbh i only started listening to you after you performed on jonathon ross, but you have quickly taken over my life! i thinkk sometimes you are a bit wierd tho :) could youu come to my birthday party ;) x

Simone on Monday, 11 January 2010

Hey Tim, Saw your show on telly the other night and just wanted to post a message saying how absolutely awesome I thought you were. Was thinking though.......you've solved the middle east crisis (obviously), canvas bags will of course save the world from environmental disaster. What is there next I hear you cry?......politics? no no far greater, a tour of the UK including London.....Yep, that should do it! ha ha - Love you.

June McAuliffe on Monday, 11 January 2010

Hi Tim, Where have you been all my life? No that's a stupid question coz to be honest for half my life you weren't even born! Saw your show on TV the other night and my other half and I can't stop talking about how utterly amazing you are. You have even knocked Eddie Izzard off the top of our list of favourite comedy acts. We will now be hoping to see more of you and will certainly be buying your DVD. Stay true to yourself. Loadsaluv, June xxx

Words fail me [when I try to describe how good you are] ... but they clearly do not fail you. You have an absolute mastery over them. A true wordsmith. I have been an avid comedy fan for half a century and thought that I had 'seen 'em all'. Until now that is! Tim Minchin you amazed me. You ARE a genius. PLEEAASSEE, come to UK again soon as (very stupid me) didnt know of you when you were last here.

Gary Gilden on Sunday, 10 January 2010

saw you for the first time last night-what a tonic to watch a true professional at work-fantastic view of reality much needed today. will watch out for your next show with very VERY eager anticipation well done Tim

Sophie. on Sunday, 10 January 2010

"Your brothers and sisters and me and your mum Will be waiting for you in the sun" This is beautiful Tim. Some people may say that your songs can be 'silly' but funny!. But i couldn't put my laptop down until i told you how much this song has touched me. The lyrics are unbelievible, you are a truely outstanding song writer. But what i love most about this song is that you could be having the shitnest day of your life and still manage to smile when you hear this song. Be proud Tim, your a star. x

Lee on Sunday, 10 January 2010

You need to come do a gig in Liverpool. Know for a fact you'd pack the arena and thats just with the people I told about you. Just a small bit of advice though, I'd put some shoes on before you come, its feckin freezing at the moment

Simon Bell on Sunday, 10 January 2010

I love you and your comedy.... and your wife for making you that way. You say a journalist says you're 'Peace Anthem' is as funny as "a suicide Bomber"...The easy way to get around that is to write a song called 'a suicide bomber' and make it absolutely hilarious :D Just a thought Simon Xx

Iggy, Herts on Sunday, 10 January 2010

Did you know that David (former Dr Who) Tennant was on the xmas Desert Island Discs and not only chose White Wine in the Sun as one of his eight discs but ultimately when asked if the tide washed them all away and he had to rescue only said that White Wine in the Sun was the one that he couldn't bear to lose. A man with impeccable taste!

Katie on Saturday, 9 January 2010

Tim, Tim, Tim..... I have basked in your awesomeness for quite some time now, my loving fiance (who I have been with since I was 17!!) purchased the "So live" DVD for me and he is now a Minchin fan too....I am slowly converting all of my friends. Happy New Year Mr Minchin!! x

Nick Burke on Saturday, 9 January 2010

Tim, though you may be absolutely brilliant, i was scarred, potentially for life, by your refusal to play '10 foot cock' at your gig at Sheffield city hall. To rectify this soul-destroying situation i request respectfully (demand/threaten) that you put 10 foot cock up to download as an mp3 on this site. You seem like a good guy and i wouldn't want to take this to the next level, whatever that may be. Finally, i appreciate your love for England, and if i ever meet you, depending upon the place, time, amount of money in my pocket at the time and how generous I'm feeling, i may buy you a pint. lots of luck in various greater future endeavors, Nick ;) xx

Carl Hicks on Friday, 8 January 2010

Tim, I was wondering if there were any chances of a U.S. tour in the future? I had a chance to see the DVD of "So F__king Rock" thanks to a friend of mine, and found your music and humor to be brilliant. Hopefully you have the opportunity to rock in St. Louis.

The Ape wearing the Magic Cape eating the Sour Grape on Friday, 8 January 2010

So when are you going to make your post-apocalyptic song about the invasion of giant cockroachs. Which were created by a mad eastern european scientist with a hunchbacked assistant in a castle during a thunderstorm?

Firstly I would like to say how horrible you are for making me cry everytime I listen to 'Not Perfect', secondly thank you so much for writing it, It's so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your genius with us not quite so gifted as yourself. Your piano playing never ceases to amaze me. Last but not least the public need posters Mr. Minchin! Would very like much like to see you up against bedroom wall =] but a poster would be just as good.

Amie Hoefnagel on Thursday, 7 January 2010

there is no god, but if there was, it would be you, tim.

Alastair Macrae on Wednesday, 6 January 2010

Tim- saw you in Glasgow in '09, on the recommendation of an Aussie on the JREF forum. Wasn't sure what to expect. At the concert hall there was a crowd of well dressed, middle aged or older folks (a bit like me & the GF) - and a bunch of younger and...more diverse types. The responsible citizens were for an orchestral concert. We found ourselves about the oldest folks among the oddballs. Slightly concerned about what we were getting into, I was perplexed to hear the "wierdos" in front discussing cosmology. Knew their stuff, too. Not your average stand up audience, the Minchin munchkins. Hugely enjoyed the show - especially the sceptical stuff. I don't know if you started it, but there seems to be an epidemic of rationality among comedians in the UK. If only it would spread to the politicians! May your unstoppable rise accelerate in 2010 and I hope to see you back in Scotland before too long.

Ross Thomson on Wednesday, 6 January 2010

Tim, Come back to England so we can show you some more of our special loving. More tour dates please.

Sarah on Wednesday, 6 January 2010

Hi Tim. I saw you live last year in Brighton and was brought to tears (good tears) through laughing and emotion from white wine in the sun. It should have been number 1, you were robbed. I just wanted to say thank you for bringing a little joy to my life. Ta x

Tim Minchin makes me snort hot tea (given tea) out of my nose in a way that makes people want to know what I am listening to. This is how we spread the faith.

Vicky on Tuesday, 5 January 2010

Hey there, hoping not to bore you so just popped in to ask if you know when the 'Ready for this' dvd will be available in england? just wondering because i'm currently not living in australia, and allthough i've seen it live, (which was AMAZING by the way... first night of the tour and everything!!! haha) i'd quite like to spend some money on it and have it in my house so i can watch it whenever i would like to... thanks very much for enriching our lives with your eloquently beautiful musical talents... (p.s before i go i would just like to say that i do find the song F sharp very funny... but i am a muso, so fit into one of your categories) lots of luck for 2010... Vicky xxx

Josh on Monday, 4 January 2010

Hi Tim, so you have made it! Your a hit which is good, but for those who knew you from the beggining something will be lost... that almost execlusive quality as loyal fans pioneered the depths of the interent to find you in interviews for small internet channels. But hey its all rosy.

Hi Tim Like the people beneath me here, I love your work. You’re brilliant. Like you, I’m from Perth and I write too but currently I don’t have any talent. I hope someday to plagiarize some of your stuff. Not right now because you’re too popular and people would figure it out, but maybe later on this year. Anyway, the goat’s eaten the washing so I’ll sign off now. Keep writing for at least another 3 months. Cheers Duane
