Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

Sad to see that you are cancelling gigs but I guess all will cope!! I feel as retribution you should call up all the affected fans and take them cookies? Could you drop mine by on a thursday as this is a good day for me?! Good luck in LA!

Edward Howells on Saturday, 28 April 2012

Julia on Saturday, 28 April 2012

Hi Tim, I only found you yesterday on Youtube and I am a fan already. But, you are not playing any gigs in Ireland!!! Which is a pitty and I would be over the moon if you would come by and give me the chance to see you live on stage. I wish you all the best and you are absolutely amazing. Hope to see you someday...Julia living in Ireland, Austrian. Did you know we have T-shirts in Austria saying: There is no kangoroos in Austria!

Tim, On Wednesday night, my beautiful Asian wife and I had the privilege of sitting front and center to your show at the Lobero theater. I felt pretty lucky, considering the $1 that I gambled in Las Vegas on Monday night led me to walk upstairs to my hotel room, where I saw you on Conan and heard you'd be playing at the Lobero Theater in Santa Barbara (where I met my wife and we went to school together). Since we've been married, funds have been tight, but the $30 we spent each to get tickets to your show was a guilty pleasure we will never forget. Thanks for making fun of us and making our experience so absolutely incredible. You clearly are one of the wittiest, most creative comedians alive right now, and you have a good heart to have adopted a daughter and married your college sweetheart. I hope to see your Matilda Broadway Show someday if we can ever get out there, and wish you all the best in your career - you certainly deserve it! Sincerely, Bob Wilson

Hi Fay, that song was called "Beauty" and I agree it was a lovely, reflective moment in the show Tim did with the orchestra, somewhere in between "Cheese" and "Darkside", as I recall. It is on both the CD and DVD of Tim's performance with the Heritage orchestra. I actually have both recordings, as they were done at different venues. Hope you can find it that way.

Fay on Friday, 27 April 2012

you sang a song in Sydney about songwriting and I have been trying to hear it again ever since. What is it called - and can you upload it to youtube or your site? Just love the way you are so present in your songs... there's a real integrity and honesty....

livi on Thursday, 26 April 2012

Hi Linzy and Shell, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy your website on all things Tim. It is my first port of call each morning and so often makes me smile and laugh. You do him proud with your convivial postings and I love Tim's twitter feed (can't follow otherwise - Twitter not allowed in this household). I first discovered Tim through Rhian Skirving's documentary and have avidly followed his progress ever since - live concerts, DVD's, CD's, youtube postings etc. I just wanted to say you do a great job keeping him current for us down here in Oz. Many thanks! PS: That photo of Tim today as a toddler - on the Twitter feed - will keep me smiling all day).

You say it so well! with a great voice and fabulous playing, in such witty and articulate and musical commentaries... a breath of fresh air in a time lies! Thanks for your wonderful work. Please come to Nova Scotia - Halifax would love you... All the best, Yola just another one of your monkeys-in-shoes fans

I owe you a thanks, Tim. Thank you for turning me Atheist at 16 and constantly restoring my faith in comedy and humanity. And thank you for being such a huge influence on me, you are the reason I tried to become a comedian. And, though recently my performance has gone downhill and I've kinda lost myself, you've once again inspired me to get back on the horse and get back into this twisted biz. Thank you for the continous inspiration and realisation of self.

May I take up a spot (just) to jot a little note, upon your book for guests. To spout my appreciation for the music and alphabetical spelling tests within your creation! Other than Annie, and Oliver! Matilda is the best, and sure to be a supertabulous sensation. (I absolutely HATE the little shit bag that is Twist. And, would wish for nothing more than for the musical about the strawberry blonde oik to be banned. Therefore, Your lyrical sprawlings along with your ivory tickillings have indeed given birth to a wondrous musical. Matilda the musical is a beautiful show, the cast and design just make the music and lyrics come to life even brighter. In short. Well done mate. Lots of love. Richard Aged 27 and 1 half.

fuck me, tim - at 62, I thought love had passed me by, but your ginger locks and kohl-darkened eyes have stirred long-dormant feelings. I'm a fool for love again. You're brill.

Saw the show that was put out on Channel Four the other night. Very impressed. Must admit I cannot remember seeing you before. Heard the name mentioned through atheist channels and saw a couple of YouTube clips. That 'converted' me to being a fan. Hope to bring a book of poetry out soon. Do you want a copy? Signed. Most of the content is on my website.

Soooo Tim, We had such a great time at the show on Wednesday in Santa Barbara. Bought the DVD and even quoted you a couple of times in my Evolutionary Medicine class the next day! You are an encouragement and inspiration to all of us seething, a-religious, scientophiles. On that point I thought I might point out a nagging inaccuracy that has just appeared in your Anne Frank- your wifes embryo bit. As this is very new research, I know you came up with the piece first, we now think that NOT all of a women's eggs are formed in her ovary at the time of birth. I would be happy to send you the link but you might look up "Germline Stem Cells and follicular renewal in the postnatal mammalian ovary" by Johnson et al. This makes a lot of sense from an evolutionary point of view as it would be a pretty big risk to spend ones whole life carrying around all of ones precious progeny. But wait a minute...did you say your mother in law was pregnant with your wife at the time of the escape? If that was so I am completely wrong and please allow me to apologize for being so pedantic. Loved the show!!

I'd like to find out where you live and come bring you cookies. You're a cool guy, everybody thinks I'm a bit weird listening to you because I'm 13 but to be honest I don't even care :L Oh and just so you know, I've decided I'm going to meet you one day ;D

Einat on Friday, 13 April 2012

Hey Tim! Have been following your stuff for a while now and loving it! I'm an atheist Israeli and a biologist and as such having a ball with all the religious fanatics here :) Will definitely look your shows up when traveling abroad. Keep doing a great job, you're cracking me up!

Johanne Veiteberg on Friday, 13 April 2012

Please come to Norway!

Paul Rinzler on Friday, 13 April 2012

Tim, it was very cool to meet you last night in Santa Barbara after your gig at the Lobero (I was the jazz piano professor). Keep up the great work, may your inspirations always be caustic, hilarious, and harmonically coherent (only when necessary). If you care to take a listen, I have two of my favorite jazz piano solo posted up to the website below, one is way inside (the blues), the other is free jazz.

Spencer Blickley on Thursday, 12 April 2012

Keep up the fine work Tim, I fucking love ya man!

Maureen on Thursday, 12 April 2012

What about a gig here in Papamoa Beach, New Zealand? Couldn't manage a grand piano or an orchestra but could probably rustle up a school upright piano - possibly in tune, a bass guitar and a couple of amps. Dinner's on me. Am thinking that seeing you perform live is just another reason to go back and live in London.

Lisa Cowart on Wednesday, 11 April 2012

Had a dream last night that I met Tim Minchin. He had wonderful bright burgandy hair and a pink feather head band. Despelling the theory that we dream in black and white. He was very gracious and gave me an autograph. So thanks for the signature (in my mind). No more Turkey and swiss on Flatbread for dinner! Cheers.

Noal on Tuesday, 10 April 2012

Come back to Toronto sometime! I saw you at your last concert at the Wintergarden Theatre and it was spectacular, everything I had expected and more. Since then my girlfriend has discovered how epic you and your music are and I would love to take her to one of your concerts.

traci thomas on Tuesday, 10 April 2012

seriously loved you on Conan tonight, Tim!!! and for what it's worth, we LOVE you here in Dallas... please come back soon!!! if i had a million dollars, i'd provide the piano for you myself.. hope to see you here again soon...

John Galt on Monday, 9 April 2012

Wish you'd play more in the USA...would love to have you come to St. Louis.

Annette Duffy on Sunday, 8 April 2012

I think it's great you donated a signed pic for auction in aid of huskies in need. You're a fab entertainer and any promotion by you of a charity will help that charity. Huskies In Need do a great job, I've got a rescue husky from them myself and they are desperate for help all the time :-) If anyone wants to help them out their website is www.huskiesinneed.org.uk or find huskiesinneed on facebook :-) thanks Tim

Hey!! Huge fan, and there are many of us in the city of Maastricht, where I study. It's an international student city, nearly everyone speaks English and you should really consider doing a gig there, I'd love to see you live, but unfortunately I can't just pop over to the UK (let alone the US or Australia). I love your music, you're a brilliant pianist, and complement it with an awsome sense of humor (cynical, and yet so cheerfull). Greetings from the other side of the pond!

Hi Minchin fans in Southern California! I'm not sure if the guestbook can be used for this purpose, but we have 4 excellent tickets (center section, Row C) for Tim's April 11 show in Santa Barbara, California. We won't be able to use at least two of them and possibly all four. We live 5 hours north in Santa Cruz and have put a notice on Craigslist in Santa Barbara. It would be a shame for such great seats to go unoccupied, so we're posting here just in case anyone was thinking about going. Our email address is [email protected]. We saw Tim at the Largo in Los Angeles last October, and the concert was incredible, but I don't know how he keeps up the crazy pace of performing on three continents (not to mention finding time to write, create, and be part of a family). Let's hope a well-deserved rest (and recharge) is on the horizon!

Tyla on Friday, 6 April 2012

I have just been to see Matilda at the Cambridge theatre, I was expecting amazing things and I got them! Tim You are a genius, and I love the music. Congratulations and the cast are doing a fab job at singing it for you!

Tamara on Friday, 6 April 2012

Just wondering, do you think you could do some gigs in Paris? Apart from Paris being pretty and full of english-speaking comedy-appreciating folk, it's a comedy goldmine. (and it would be less awkward for me to get to a gig)

Ellie Ketteringham on Thursday, 5 April 2012

Hi Tim! I just wanted to say that the album for Matilda the Musical is absolutely beautiful. I love it! I'm seeing the show in August and I cannot wait! I think that you are incredibly talented and you should be so proud of the songs that you have composed and written because they are amazing. I've seen loads of musicals in London, and I'm 100% sure that Matilda will be my favourite!!!! Lots of love xxxx :')

Hi Tim, I've had such a lousy day at work, so I have come home to listen to a couple of your songs and watch some bits of your precious DVD's. Always enough to raise the spirits and have a good laugh at the idiosyncrasies of life. Far better than a slug of gin or a whole block of chocolate. Feeling better already - THANKS!!

random on Tuesday, 3 April 2012

PLEASE COME BACK TO AUSTRALIA!!! We all miss your talent...
