Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Hi Tim, I've been following your career since the very early days from the Melbourne comedy festival and onwards. I think you are one of the most talented muso, song writer, poet and you have the most incredible grasp and use of the English language than anyone I have ever seen. I've got all your DVDs (well actually iTunes downloads) and I watch them regularly and still laugh everytime and pick up something new each time. My 7 year old started piano lessons for awhile but then lost interest and just wanted to work it out himself which I really love as I did that with the guitar. I showed him some of your songs where you go absolutely mental in solos and even just in songs themselves. Unfortunately I forgot about the use of language that a 7 year old probably shouldn't be using (mother of the year there!) but thankfully he disregarded the words and focused on your piano playing and was astounded and since then he has been inspired to keep playing with the hope that he can be better than you (his words not mine!). Good on him really I'm glad he can identify extreme talent when he sees it. So I suppose what I'm saying in a long winded way is that I love your work, love your incredible talent and hope that one day you will return to Australia and perform another comedy show at some stage, in between all the other things that you're working on. I think your sense of humour rocks, I have never been 'outraged' by anything you say or sing about, I just laugh my arse off! In fact my partner and I have some very similar conversations as those that you describe between yourself and your wife. Keep up the incredible work and good luck with all your future endeavours. Penny - half way up Mt Buller where it's far to cold to go outside so I may as well watch your shows and your you tube uploads. Thanks for the laughs.

I used your piece "Storm" for speech and debate this past school year. I do oral interpretation, so not what you think of when it comes to debate club, but I get to read poetry so it is okay. Anyways, "Storm" is what got me into nationals! I didn't win the gold, but I still have next year for that. Maybe I'll pick another Minchin piece if I can find it. Everyone loved "Storm" so much...well not when we went to the catholic schools...

Hey Tim, I was introduced to you in 2011, and since then I have idolized you. I was a student back then, and my goal was to earn enough money to afford a trip to London/Australia/wherever you happen to be performing to see you perform live.(I am Indian) I am glad the musicals and broadway shows are bringing you success, and hope they continue to do so, but I really hope to see you live in Comedy again some day. (Despite your graduation speech asking me to not have dreams, I do dream of meeting you some day!) Stay awesome! Love Gurbaksh

Just wanted to say thanks. It seemed for about a year, that there is absolutely no more music I can listen to. "Old" songs became alien and hundreds of new didn't stick in my head even for a day. I found your music by chance and it touched me deeply. I thought "That's a perfect combination of fun and light sadness". Now sitting with dictionary and Google cause I still understand not all moments. =)

Still kicking myself for missing you in Dallas several years ago. I had just returned from a long trip. Wish so much you could add a Midwest concert in October!

You DO fucking rock. Was introduced to your materials for around three years ago by a dear friend of mine. Love your work, mitsubishi colt, dark side, your graduation speech was absolutely brilliant. Post-hoc-ergo-propter-hoc as almost become my catch phrase because of you ;). Your a great artist with an even greater mind! Thank you. (Hope to see you in Sweden some day)

How did I miss that you were in town again? Getting to hang out with you was one of the most memnorable experiences I have had in many a year.

Hello, Mister Minchin, you are so fucking rock. I saw you on QI and loved Storm before I knew who you were, after watching your commencement address I had to see more. I watched all your songs and poems and stand up on youtube and even went so far as to Purchase some of your DVDs (High praise, indeed, coming from an American with bittorrent). I just wanted you to know that you have inspired me. If I ever get a chance to see you live I'm bringing a blow up sex doll full oh helium. I hope Sarah and the kids are well. Your new fan, Kathlene \m/

well first impressions can be deceiving, Donna, indeed he is talented, making the Matilda into a musical, That was a favourite of mine. but musicals I find are just a bit cheesey and we all know we can't eat too much cheese.
