Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

Just saw Matilda in Melbourne. Fantastic as all your shows are. I can't wait for you to come back to Vic to do a comedy show of just you. I've been following your work since the SideShow on ABC and have never been disappointed. Thank you for making music/comedy worth listening to.

I know you probably never check this...and that you have intense numbers of fans and I know you must be busy... But I just wanted to say I love your work and you outlook on life in general...probably my favorite artist... And if you do check this, don't think I'm some fanatic who wants to stalk you. I'm not... Just figured I'd make that clear...

Hey Tim, please, please, please: Should you ever contemplate a tour that gets you near Austria (no, not Australia, AUSTRIA - Mozart, not kangaroos mate), please pop by and have a show there. I hear the nicest places to perform there are in Vienna (where, by a bewildering and totally unrelated coincidence, I also happen to live - great city, this - lovely audience and all, really!! And eksel...eccell...EXCELLENT wine by the way). But in any case: Many many thanks for all your work man, your songs, your thoughts. Inspiring!

Hello Mr. Minchin, My name is Dan and I am a huge fan and am from a small suburban wet dream town in Minnesota. I was curious if you have any advice for someone who would love to get into musical comedy? You are my comedic inspiration. If you would answer I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks for taking time to read this.

Hey Tim, Just wanted to say thanks for being you! We have found so much joy in your songs and laughed until we cried! Our 10 year old son was so inspired by you he took up jazz piano! We would sing along with with all your songs in the car and he knew every word. I think half the fun was that he got away with singing 'fuck' a lot! The lazy little shit ( now 15) doesn't practice piano much nowadays but has a razor wit, sharp intellect and a healthy disrespect for religion...thanks for your influence!. Oh and PLEASE come do some shows here in NZ!

Your song 'Come home' has prompted me to leave this message. For decades, following my own childhood abuse by a priest (I am now in my late 50's), I buried the memories deep down inside and tried to function as well as I could. But something of me had died. For years after, I assumed that I was the only one to whom this had happened; and moreover, that I was in some inexplicable way responsible, guilty. When in recent times both the extent and the enormity of international clerical sexual abuse became known, that personal sorrow was put into perspective by the scale of others' suffering. The realisation that not only was I not alone in what I had experienced - that I was in fact just one of untold thousands - brought with it a renewed sense of horror; a numbness that went beyond pain. When I heard 'Come home', the line about "survivors, despite their shame and their fear [standing] up to tell their stories" went to the heart of me, and for the first time in years, I wept; and in grieving, felt less inhuman than I had for a long, long time. My heart goes out to those in Ballarat and elsewhere who suffered as they did. And thank you for your prophetic anger.

I drove 2 hours to see your show at Cal Poly. It was great, and I love your approach to all of it. Your encore was a nice song, I love your music, and I actually really enjoy your less... abrasive(?) songs and just listening the musicality you bring. White Wine In the Sun is my particular favorite. Thank you for all the entertainment you've brought me! I look forward to listening to your future works.
