Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

After seeing the ::cough::hilarious::cough show at the Gilded Balloon I could hardly wait to seek out the website...thus following my stalker like tendencies (just kidding) If there's ever any sheet music printed off I'll learn the piano just so I can sing myself the songs whenever I damn well please. Congrats Tim, you're tops!!

Stephen O'Donnell on Monday, 29 August 2005

Well I went, I saw, and I got m'canvass bag. Tim was only slightly put off his angst ridden psycho persona stride by an overenthusiastic (not plastic or ecclesiastic) laugher in the crowd. It was funny though. A well earned Perrier Best Newcomer Award means that my friends will soon know why I won't stop humming "Take Your Canvass Bag". It's infectious, and a rallying cry to the masses. Tim, you dag.

Ah BUM! I meant John Howard.

Good evening, Some people say I should have stuck with playing that Mr Jelly chap but since I've been Prime Minister we've failed to lose the Ashes, spread democracy to some of Iraq's leafier eastern suburbs and now succeeding in exporting a comedic talent to the home of comedic. As an Australian can I say how proud I am? Yes I can, and I'm Prime Minister so no-one can tell me not to except the Queen (and the governor-general if he forgets that I've got the photographs). Love, Howard Jelly

Congratulations, congratulations, CONGRATULATIONS! Just heard about the Perrier Best Newcomer award, and had to come by to say well done! Hope you're having an excellent festival over there and getting heaps more offers now that you've won yet another award. PS: Is this enough encouragement to decide to release the Dark Side dvd? :D

Just had to say that i saw you on itv and thought you were hilarious. Did not manage to make it to the fringe this year so i am a bit disappointed. Any chance you could come to my local pub, up in Dundee, to do a show, before you make it huge in the uk? I am sure i can arrange some sort of keyboard and sort out free drink for the night. It would make for a legendary story. Keep up the good work.

I'm going to see Tim for the second time tonight, with someone who I just had to drag along to prove how brilliant he is. His show last Friday was stupendous, and basolutely award-worthy. I sat near the front and left, which meant I had a perfect view of his piano skills. I know he is touchy about people referring to his "classically trained" status, but ehy are simply impressed with his undoubted ability. I can see however that he is comfortably able to mix many styles convincingly whilst taking the piss out of them all. I was initially a bit wary of the manic dancing at the start, but was soon a convert as his comedy and music relentlessly beat the living shit out of me. I was powerless to resist. His 1st and 2nd encores were great, in the way they poked fun at the nonsense of the traditional farewell at the end of a show like this. I immediately went out and seriously considered buying a canvas bag (still thinking about it). Fantastic!

Jeffrey Dugong, B.A. on Monday, 22 August 2005

Mr Minchin, I understand you are considering taking a part in the upcoming film production of Neal Wurmal's George Bernard Shaw. Is it true you are considering playing a cockney whore? Many kind regards Jeffrey

“cheveux brules chimquement” … am guessing it mens “horse-like dancing”. Nope. It's a fairly average translation of "chemically burnt hair". Yes kids, if you go to university for three years, you too can be a pretentious twat.

Village Idiot 2 on Monday, 22 August 2005

Hello, loved the show. Kate will probably tell you about us (she signed all our canvas bags!), and I totally want to see it again. Unfortunately I'm not in Edinburgh any more, which makes it...tricky. To say the least.

The Village Idiots on Monday, 22 August 2005

A decent effort, Sarah, though let down by the lack of rhyme in the final stanza. Keep trying, though! LoL (Lots of Love) Leeanne x

Andre-Anne Le Blanc on Tuesday, 16 August 2005

Voila! Andre-Anne xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Rosencrantz? As in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead? Or was he simply your favourite Shakespearian character? :D Love your work, see you in Hobart.

Beth on Monday, 1 August 2005

Beth Likes The Website, But Feels That Commenting Both On The Guestbook And The Blog Is Looking Strangely Obsessive. She Should Probably Sleep, As She Has A Lecture At 9.30 Tomorrow. What A Shiny Website. I Think I'll Keep It.
