Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

I think I quite fancy you although you look like a mix between Russell Brand and Leigh Francis. Thanks.

AnnaWaits on Thursday, 31 January 2008

I just watched that interview you did for The Tank vodcast. SO HOT. I'm joking - it's really interesting, insightful and thought-provoking stuff; from yourself, the interviewer and, you know, us Angry Feet people. I couldn't tell whether you were absolutely loving talking about these things, or feeling a bit uncomfortable... maybe a bit of both? It must be hard being simultaneously a clown and someone who wants to talk about important things. It's a line you walk so well, though, and what all the best comics do all the time, I guess. Anyway, I also wanted to flag up a programme that was on a few days ago called What On Earth Is Wrong With Gravity? It's really mind-blowing stuff - but delivered with such enthusism! It also made me think that it's so arrogant to assume that the universe that we can see is the biggest thing that there is - the biggest baboushka doll. I know you're kinda busy over the next few days but I hope you'd find it fascinating. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/page/item/b008w9kp.shtml?q=gravity&start=1&scope=iplayersearch&version_pid=b008w9gr Anna.x

Tim, go update your forum link. Angry Feet is moving with the times it's now (more) fancy, (still) purple, (ultra) connectified and whatnot.

hannah on Wednesday, 30 January 2008

You make me laugh :) Being an American fan, I'm afraid I'll be holding off going to see you live until I'm 18 and not completely broke. That may very well be never, but we can cross our fingers, can't we?

Lydia on Wednesday, 30 January 2008

I've immediatly become a tad obsessed with you. I was thinking about taking up stalking, but then realised I haven't really got the creepy, worn stalker look about me. I think you should come to "beautiful" Birmingham and do lot's of gigs in my living room. x

Samus on Wednesday, 30 January 2008

Please come back to Wycombe! :D Your girly giggle machine all miss you. :( xXx

sarah on Tuesday, 29 January 2008

i seem to have developed a semi-obsession with you/rwork since i first heard it. you need to play in Philadelphia. okay, well maybe you dont /need/ to, per se, but it would be so fantastically awesome you have no idea. music + humour + some amount of reasonable intelligence = what makes the world okay some days keep it going im hooked ps. we'd be such awesome friends (wow, i sound like such a stalker) i havent had my morning dose of that nectar of gods known as... yes, coffee. please, bear with

Louise Holmes on Tuesday, 29 January 2008

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!! you can't go to new york for all that time! you'll fall in the love with the city and never come back to the uk and everything will be slightly pants from now own. I think you should instead do many more gigs in Cardiff so i can see you all the time. Thank You come again!

Meredith on Tuesday, 29 January 2008

HEY I know that you get stuff like this all the time and you probably won't read this and that you think im no different to all the other people here and i know im not your biggest fan but i think you are absolutely INCREDIBLE! I love all your stuff and everything about you is just amazing. You are the best piano player i have ever seen, and you have an amazing voice. Also very f-ing funny!! There is more, but it will sound insencire. I reckon youre also really hot *blushes* hee hee! I really hope you are able to set me apart from all the other people who say exactly these things, that would be a dream come true.

George B on Sunday, 27 January 2008

Woo! I'm going out to NYC for about 6 months to study so I'm blatantly coming to see you at the New World Stages. ROCK. Also, I feel you have severely reduced my capacity to study: yesterday I was writing notes on Kwashiorkor and realised it was peppered with the phrase 'Happy Little Africuns' throughout. Bah! Poor playstation-less things. Keep up the educationally-detrimental-o-tastic work!

Emma on Sunday, 27 January 2008

You're an absolute genius and were hilarious on Never Mind The Buzzcocks! Keep doing what you do! xxx

Hasan Shahid on Sunday, 27 January 2008

Hey Tim, just to say I thought you were awesome on Buzzcocks! Please do some more gigs in England because Scotland and New York are too far for a poor student like myself! If you agree to these gigs I will give you a basket of fruits. Much love.

Sydney Floyd (not really, i just think it sounds cool) on Friday, 25 January 2008

Lo there tim. I got your 'So live' DVD for christmas. which is nice as i asked for it. ten foot cock, not perfect, are masterful keep writing songs and such. i have a feeling that if you dont, the universe will stop working...

Mungo Pay on Friday, 25 January 2008

I think it's a shame that you're doing so many gigs in New York City, when there's a perfectly good York city here in England. Sure, it might not be as new, and the buildings aren't so big but they've got much more character. Last time you were coming to near York (it might actually have been in York) the gig was cancelled. Anyway, I just watched not perfect on youtube and it made me happy. Keep it up, and I hope you crack America even though their buildings lack character.

Charlotte on Thursday, 24 January 2008

Hey Tim, Just watched the episode of Never mind the Buzzcocks, thought you was awesome. Now been on the net listening to your music, and i think it totally rocks, You are such a talented person. I would so bring you cookies, heck i'll even make them myself. Don't worry they'd be excellent tasting. Want to know when or if you are doing a full tour in the Uk, like in London or dare i say it...Gloucester. I can't get enough of your sound now that i have heard it. Hope you are having a fantastic day. Rock on.

Sarah on Sunday, 20 January 2008

Tim where do you live? Can I actually bring you cookies? Like little human shaped ones?

Mark on Sunday, 20 January 2008

Hey Tim! Really pleased to see things are really taking off for you. I saw your two Edinburgh festival shows in 2005 and 2006, they were very refreshing in their originality and integrity. There were great - I spread the word amongst my mates and everyone enjoyed your talents as a comedian, performer and musician. Just got myself a couple of tickets for your show on 1st Feb here in Edinburgh - taking my Mum (that could be fun - depending on your new songs!). Could you please bring up a supply of your DVDs and Cds as I can't see to find copies for sale in UK? Your web site is shipping them from Oz, which is a little expensive. Anyway I hope you enjoy your tour and things go from strength to strength. Cheers, mark

Anon on Thursday, 17 January 2008

STOP BEING SO GODDAMN GOOD AT EVERYTHING, YOU BASTARD. HOW CAN ONE MAN PLAY PIANO LIKE A PIANO PLAYING GOD, SING WITH THE VOICE OF A VERY MANLY ANGEL, AND YET BE SO FUNNY THAT IT MAKES ME CHORTLE LIKE A GLEEFUL CHILD, ALL AT THE SAME TIME?! IT'S UNNERVING. I'LL STOP TYPING IN CAPITALS NOW.

Liz Duncalf on Wednesday, 16 January 2008

Hi Tim. Ive just heard that you're gracing the TV screens of the UK on Jan. 24th on Never Mind the Buzzcocks. You have no idea how awesome this is. I'm ridiculously excited. Me and my friends came to see your show in High Wycombe last February, and we giggled a lot. You could say we were a girly giggle machine. We'll have t-shirts soon :)

Lara on Wednesday, 9 January 2008

Hello Tim! Just to say i'm very impressed indeed with the snazzy new website :D (may or may not be *that* new...i may have been neglecting my fandom duties due to the evils of facebook or some such rot). Hopefully i'll be able to make it up to bonnie scotland for your gig on the first, you were sorely missed at the fringe last year :( Hope you have a great 2008, Lara x

Eleanor Rigby on Wednesday, 9 January 2008

Where do you live? I wish to bring cookies.

Anno on Wednesday, 9 January 2008

Being a sheep just for the moment I think I need to follow the somewhat absurd tradition of wishing you a happy new year, a great 2008. Anyways I wont get caught up in all of that but I just though I would do the other corny thing of saying that I watched your dvd and then saw you live in Perth (Live at Maj extra extra show) and thought you were great even though the stool was unfortunate. Look mate I'm padding, you are up there with the great comedians of today, an all round family performer (Rowan Atkinson) with all you cutsie facial mannerisms, your great musical skill, you highly developed irony about everything especially about yourself and what you are taking part in self criticism is much lacked in the world (Guilt song= brilliant) You bring a fresh ironic self-critical funny and beautiful perspective one the world, much appreciated.

Melanie on Wednesday, 9 January 2008

Hey Tim! So Live rocks, you'll always be my rock n roll nerd! oxo

Jason on Tuesday, 8 January 2008

I love all ur songs on so live i listen to it all the time and i gotta say its awesome. My fave song is Dark side and Canvas bags keep up the good work. By the way happy new year and i hope u have heaps of sucess.

Rebekah on Tuesday, 8 January 2008

Harlan how old are you. I'm only 14 but i own his So Live DVD. I'd probably say I like Rock n Roll Nerd, Inflatable You and 10 Foot Cock the most, but everythings pretty close

*Sarah* on Monday, 7 January 2008

Neeve has nothing on me, my messages are often longer than his, despite me trying my best to keep them brief :D anyway, how are you? It's all been a bit quiet on the Timmy front recently. Hope you had a great christmas, good luck in Scotland, and remember to let us know what you'll be doing for the rest of the year!x

Sarah on Monday, 7 January 2008

Wow, good luck reading those Tim... Might I say, in a rather pretentious way that I would think to be fan enough to make a fan site you would have bought darkside already... AND would recommend to others to do the same... For all those who don't know, Tim's official fan site is www.angry-feet.com. From there you can download material that's not available to be bought. Pretty cool, huh?

Leish thinks Timmy should read this comment! on Monday, 7 January 2008

Tommorow I am off to to shop for SO LIVE. Exciting I hope I find it. Hey um I have a fansite for you on MySpace and I have gotten requests to upload Dark Side but I cannot find it! Would you maybe pretty please with be able to post it up on this awesome site of yours? It'd be a real treat if you could be bothered :D I can't add you with my MySpace Fansite because the email is not verified...And I can't get into the Email Account TO verify it! So maybe you could just check it out in spare time which I'd be surprised if you had any anyway. www.myspace.com/timminchinfansite Loving all your work. You definetley know what you're talking about, SO FUCKING ROCK!!!

Harlan on Monday, 7 January 2008

I'm probably not even old enough to listen to half of your songs but they're still great, love "Inflatable You" thats my favourite. Keep it up Tim.

Rebekah on Monday, 7 January 2008

You are so fucking rock! You are so god damn rock! You are so mother-fucking rock! Tim could have taught Elton John! Has anyone noticed how fast his fingers skim the piano's keys?! He's like lightning! I'd love to be able to play that well, but of course, I'm never going to. xxoo Bye!

Cawls on Monday, 7 January 2008

As good as Elton? Methinks he was there at about the age of four. Tim is God. Nice work with Amadeus too, your musical genius, aplomb and perspicacity cement your standing as nothing less than the modern day Mozart.

Lucy on Sunday, 6 January 2008

Jesus, Tim. Your fans are scary nutters.

Rita on Sunday, 6 January 2008

i luv you so much and in the last 1 or 2hrs i've sent u and email, left another comment on your site and this comment, downloaded photos tried to, download a couple of you videos (didnt work :(...) and copied as many of your song lyrics as i could!!! and tried to upload your dvd "so live" onto the comp! you are awesome and i wish i could talk to you in person...but i wouldnt know what to say as i'd be to nervous with shock and joy! i really hope i will one day! and i vowe to see you live one day and at least get your autograph please please pleas please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please please write me an email or reply to this comment!! i beg you! taht would make my life so much better to get an email from you!!!!!!!!! love you tim xxx

Hey Jim, with practise, I think you could become as good as Elton John one day :D P.S. Are you doing anything in Aus in the near future? Keeping in mind that the word 'near' refers to any time in the next 12 months...

jamie on Saturday, 5 January 2008

heyy i just wanted to say that you are the reason for finding th love of my life =] cheers! we love you xx

Linzy on Saturday, 5 January 2008

Do you know where I'll be in exactly 4 weeks time? I'll be hanging round your merch stand in Glasgow like a bad smell with Hannah, waiting to give you your most awesome present. You will like it, or else... or else I'll be hurt, and remember you wrote it down and promised that you'd never hurt me again. Yeah. Or else.

Rebekah on Saturday, 5 January 2008

Neeve, you may have written the longest comment, but Ive writtn the most in a row. we should get to know each other. Don't ask me why i said that but i think we'd get along well, apart from the seemingly opposite personalities. Youre too loud and...insane, i guess and im usually around quiet people but im too loud for them still how old r u? what u look like, lol im not some weird stalker but theres no way u can say that kinda stuff without sounding weird what show were u on about when u said about the waving and tim smiling? If anyone wants me ill be in my Myspace. bye everyone!!!

Rebekah on Saturday, 5 January 2008

That song was "Nothing Can Stop Us Now", Neeve, and we should definitely start a campaign (is that how it's spelt? I don't have my Einstein brain switched on) to get him in Perth between my afore mentioned dates. I first saw Tim on the Sideshow. pity it was cancelled. The ABC can't do anything right. If we can get him in Perth, then I'm heading straight for the front row. Anyone care to join me?

Rebekah on Saturday, 5 January 2008

Hi My dad's turned your DVD off while I was watching it, for the hundredth time. Then he made me clean my room (needed to be done anyway). I don't think he approves of a lot of your songs. I don't know how I'm going to get him to let me go to any of your shows anytime soon. Oh well. I'll have to send him on a fishing charter on the day I intend to go. But of course, to go, I'll need you to actually perform. Now this is gonna sound really familiar, but... 14th-18th January. I promise, if you do a show I'll turn up and give you... something you like... um... what do you like?

Neeve on Saturday, 5 January 2008

i just thought i would bring up that song that you wrote for your wife on the guitar that you sung at your concert (i cant remember what it was called) and how funny it was just looking at the audience because you could tell that everyone was thinking wow hes actually singing a real loves song thats not about an inflatable woman or somthing to do with revenge against an ex girlfriend with cockatoos and then at the end the faces were suddenly filled with shock when you said the words 'freak accident' and 'terminal illness' i laughed so hard and then everyone else did too it was soo perfect

Ame on Saturday, 5 January 2008

Hi Tim, just thought I'd tell you, I think you're great!! I would love to be able to write a funny song like yours. I play the piano a bit(had a few lessons, but now i'm trying to teach myself) and was just wondering what do you reckon is the easiest way to teach yourself? ...and incidently...where do you live, I would love to bring you cookies!!!

Lucy on Friday, 4 January 2008

“highly intelligent, witty, grammatically-correct and aesthetically-sublime individuals” Cripes, Tim. Have you checked the english in that chat room recently? I think you should drop your nifty comedy career and monitor it strictly 24/7. Just for me. Loved your show, spesh the last song. It’s nice to see that you’ve become a bit schmaltzy in your old age. Not cuz.x

Neeve on Friday, 4 January 2008

ok im back again after writing my insanly long comment that is more like a short story lol and giving anyone who reads this a chance to bask in my total and complete awsomness lol nah i just have nothing better to do then talk about random things that im thinking about and somtimes make very good points about them, I find it very weird how someone can become a fan of tim minchin because a friend was singing some of his songs but then again your songs are quite catchy! i cant remember how i first heard about you i think i heard your name somewhere and then your last name got stuck in my head because its really cool then i looked it up and found a vid on youtube and i laughed really hard and then i saw you on tv when i was watching a thing with peter helliar (who has a cool last name too its like hell liar) and then you came on singing hello and since 2006 ive been hooked to listening to all your funny songs. p.s. how did you become soo damb good at piano whenever i hear you play it makes me want to give up (but i cant because i have a hell good digital piano and i dont think it would be very smart to give up now) anyways i will post some more comments later when there is nothing good on tv and talk about even more random things oh and yea come to perth again because my brother didnt get to see you and he really wants to and i want to see you again aswell at your hometown the greatest part of australia ever Perth Happy New Year to all neeve xx

Anita AKA. Bellellamy (i got that nick name coz my friend cant say my last name proply lol on Friday, 4 January 2008

READ THIS PLEASE! my friend told me about u and was singing ur songs to me (while we were walking through the bush on this track with 13kg bags on coz we had to do it to get the bronze duke of edinburgh award it was funny we were attempting to skip but we couldnt coz of the bags u had to be there)and i luv them. u seem like such a kool guy whats your favourite song out of the ones u've written? Happy New Year! do u hav ne pets (random question). can u write a random song just for me about random things like apple sauce and citrus trees and golf balls and calculaters and camera cases and cook books. really random stuff like that. u dont have to if u dont want to. im bored. hav u ever played hide and seek in target. i suggest u do. did u use to or still play any sports i play soccer and futsal(indoor soocer) tis fun i luv it it helps waste my energy i have to much energy for my own good im almost always hypo. i love smiggle stuff its awesome my friend has this pencil case n you no the zip it just keeps goin till u dont have a pencil case any more its just a long zipper its kool the teacher took it off her coz she was throwin it out the window n pullin it back in again twas funny. i m against drugs, smoking and underage drinking i think its stupid. were you smart at skool? do u no how to speek any other languages? i love pomy-kiwi accents my friend has one its so kool. i think u should have a holiday in port macquarie NSW i live there/here visit me dont worry im not some weird over obsesed fan i probably sound like one but im not i see famous people as normal people who just act or sing or whateva and they wanna be left alone not bugged all the time everywhere they go. this probably not cuming across the way i want it to cum acroos u probably still think im obsesed and want to come across asif im not im just gonna shut up now lol bye xox

Neeve on Friday, 4 January 2008

ok i have decided to write a comment to beat all comments its going to be an extra long one to try and fill some of my time that will get wasted on somthing else if i dont do this. If any of you have seen my myspace you would see that all my friends send me really long comments about stuff that they can think of until the cant do anymore and i do the same for them so now i am going to do a long message for tim, ok lets see i went to one of your concerts and was in the fourth row from the front i was still pretty close, you started off with so rock which had me in stitches but when you strated to play some of your other songs i was in a trance when you did about 60 minutes of stand up i laughed so hard i cried. i sung along to rock and roll nerd and these old people next to me kept staring at me like i was crazy but i didnt care, ever since you sund peace anthem for palestine my dad has been singing it all the time but as he is getting older he is getting all the lyrics messed up like "we dont eat PORK" but i dont care its almost the same. I am trying to think of more things to say but my mind has gone blank (as it usually does on fridays) ummmmmmmm ok i went to your concert with a friend and we wre the ones that laughed when you mentioned yvette cause we've seen your myspace, anyways after your show it hit me that you beleive in evoloution but how does that work? ok so we start as some sort of fish thing like you said and mutate but who created the fish? and if the fish evolved from somthing like a tiny lifeform what created that i mean they couldnt just appear from nothing if so who created nothing? hmm deep thinking always makes my brain hurt lol but that comes to think how would the first 'fish' know how to reproduce? how would it know what a girl fish is? mabye it was an accident like he might have tripped and fell over and over and over again, lol. Anyways i am wasting a whole lot of my time writing this so you better take the time to read it i always go on youtube and i always seem to see that vid of you singing that donnie darko song which is pretty funny because that movie is not meant to be funny but you made it seem hilariouse by the way you sung it lol the funniest part was the end about myxomatosis and that took alot to make me laugh coz my pet rabbit billy died from that but it was still funny as hell. ok ummm im trying to think of other stuff to say but its hard ....... oh at your concert when you sung darkside you looked straight at me i think and when i waved you smiled. but i cant think of much more to say exept why did you move to london?i spent my whole life trying to find someone funny who was from perth and when i finally do you move half way across the globe. Do you know how frustrating that is lol. Anyway i think i have pretty much topped all the other comments so i think i will shut up now if you have read this far thanks for wasting your time reading the things that come to mind when im on this site and for lasting this long hopefully now i will be up there with yvette and kristy so you better remember my name Neeve xx

Hi Tim, Hope you had a great new years! May 2008 bring you even more success. I recently became a fan after seeing you on Sideshow performing Rock and Roll Nerd and Angry (Feet). After seeing this I started watching Sideshow (even though now they have taken it off air... grr) and Spicks and Specks in a desperate attempt to see you again - however, i did not prevail. Consequently (and this probably helped the sales outlook) i bought your dvd for myself and all of my friends for Christmas, enjoy the royalties there! I have watched your dvd about 20 times now and I just can not get over how amazing you are - when people ask me your genre, i say "Tim Minchin" and they soon understand what I mean. Everything you do has such passion - how i wish i could play the piano like you! I love the way you make the audience feel as though they have known you forever, and how your eyes light up as you speak about you wife or baby. You are so damn smart that you take your acts to a new level and despte you always saying that you lack depth, the way your eyes withdraw when you sing Not Perfect (a personal favourite of mine) really shows you thinking about life and the greater complexities in which life holds. I hope to see you perform live soon, if you are coming to the Melbourne Comedy festival then i will be at all of your shows! Have a safe and happy start to the new year and I hope to see you perform soon, Sarah
