Hey Tim, i saw you in cambridge on the 24th and i was blown away! you've completely and utterly rekindled my love for the piano and am back playing as much as i possibly can. i learn through listening rather than reading sheet music but i was wondering if you could make it any easier and say whether there is sheet music for your songs?! or is this just wishful thinking?! you were awesome and might be coming to see you in london in october to refresh my mind of those hilarious songs! love always, Steph x

I am so tempted to find out where you live and bring you cookies now... In a non-stalker way. One of my friends told me to search for you on you tube one day. My whole group of friends is now hooked on your music. Needless to say, she is now my best friend. My friends and I are really looking forward to coming to see you in December, it's going to be so awesome!

Eddeie Smith on Tuesday, 29 September 2009

I'm looking forward to your gig in Newcastle Australia in Febuary. One thing that would be even better is a surprise guest appearance from Tim Minchin at the Global Atheist Convention in Melbourne 12-14 March 2010. A few comedians lined up, Catherine Deveny, Sue-Ann Post, Jamie Kilstein and others. Alas, you will most likely be out of the country by then. Oh well, i can hope. It would make the weekend. Cheers Ed.

Rachel Logan on Monday, 28 September 2009

TigerSue on Saturday, 26 September 2009

Hi Tim, Really enjoyed the show in Cambridge, it did me the world of good. I've not had a great year since my partner died in June and an evening of laughter proved to be great medicine (not the alternative type) and helped me forget my troubles more than anything since he died. You are so lucky to have met your soulmate so early and to have so much time together. I only had two years with my partner but they were wonderful. I'll be going again to the extra show in Cambridge for a repeat dose. Thanks, so much for making me smile and laugh again. TigerSue

AshDonson on Saturday, 26 September 2009

Going to see Tim in 3 weeks (17th Oct), can't wait, my girlfriend won't shut up about it - we're gonna be on 2nd row! She's hoping we get to meet Tim afterwards so she can ask for a hug and a picture. I swear to god (?) she would rape him if I weren't there =P

Seeing you tonight in Birmingham .... really really really (you get the idea ....) hope I get to meet you !! Can't wait to see the show ... you're a legend :)

Matt Baily on Saturday, 26 September 2009

Tim. I have just got home from probably the best evening of live comedy in my life (since getting married 9 years ago that is !!!!). I took a friend to see you at High Wycombe (a real mate, not a women - he had not really seen your stuff, but is now totally converted !!! ), we did not stop laughing from the moment you went on stage until the moment you left... I have to be honest, I had not heard of your show until a recent late night programme on TV (sorry). From that moment on I was hooked, and immediately booked tickets to see your show (despite the nearest being High Wycombe - what a dump of a town, you deserve better !). I have, since the booking, boosted your ratings by purchasing your dvd AND downloading a live show to my iPod (is that sad ? - didn't buy the canvas bag though!!!). I know it sounds poofy, but cant wait to see another live show.... Thanks again for a thoroughly entertaining evening. Matt.

Aimee on Friday, 25 September 2009

OMG. My tickets came today to see you in Belfast. Im so excited! -Screams xox

Izzy Wysocki on Friday, 25 September 2009

TIM!!! Just saw you at the Wycombe Swan and you were AWESOME! As was your piano of course - quite literally the most georgeous instrument ever! Utterly fantastic show! Never ever stop writing and performing shows, even when you're ninety and decrepit I'll worship your musical genius! Iz xx

James. on Friday, 25 September 2009

Hey Tim! Just saw you at Wycombe, and was completely blown away, it was totally awesome! Definitely coming to see you again as soon as I can. Keep it rocking. James.

I loved the trousers, seriously I think you could start a trend love Bethan x

Miss Fury on Friday, 25 September 2009

Tim, You were so awesome last night in Cambridge , not even getting covered in Cola and realising my hands were sticking together with all the sugar was enough to make me get out of my chair or stop laughing. Listening to Dark Side was the highlight for me as my mouth would not stop falling open in amazement at how shockingly wonderful you are at piano. A true inspiration :D Best night of my life ever!

16 year old girl from Norway on Thursday, 24 September 2009

Tim! You are amzing. I know you have heard it before, and that you have probably heard that you have heard it before:P but it can't be said enough. I just got "Ready for this" dvd and signed postcard. I guess that is be the closest i will ever get to see you live, unless you come to Norway! isn't that a great idea? that would make me and a lot of other people very happy:) anyway, you are like i said, AMAZING, and I love your work. Keep on doing what you do<3

Amy ox on Thursday, 24 September 2009

Hey Tim, I love you :) haha way to open a convosation. Well..not really a convosation more of a large paragraph on me thinking your wonderful. ANYWAYS..You are so immense & awesome. And i heard you like the mighty boosh. Which makes you double the awesome you already were. Which is a hell of a lot :D I really wanna see you live but am only a recent Tim stalker. I mean.. 'fan'. If i get too it will either be in Cambridge fairly soon or Hammersmith in October. I love your comical songs as well as your serious songs and have came to the conclusion you must be a superb husband and the best father ever. :) :) Now i shall go and check the angry-feet forum. haven't been there yet. Have a great day, week, month, year & life Mr Minchin. Loves ya xxx

Jo on Thursday, 24 September 2009

Dear Tim, I've been having a little problem recently that is quite disturbing to my rationality. You see I've been getting you songs stuck in my head. And keep humming and dancing to them at work. This is not particularly appropriate as I work in a library and my manager already thinks I'm weird. Please help. P.S. I've been using my canvas bag!

Jack on Thursday, 24 September 2009

Hey, I really like your stuff and your my favourite comedian but I'm dying to know, why in mitsubishi colt do you get angry when he compares you to elton john? I tried google and it failed haha... If anyone can answer that would be cool...

Sarah (happy White Wine fan) on Wednesday, 23 September 2009

totally agree with debbieg. You are such a great guy and very very pleased that I have seen you live and will again in October. I have had rather a large quantity of fermented grape blanc at a cool irish session where some lovely tunes were played. Loosens the tongue apparently (tho fingers in this case). You are totally awesome Tim. The world will never seem the same again. That's a good thing - in case I was being unclear. You've either got it or you don't, you'll either rock it or you won't. Pretty clear u got it and u you rock it!!!!!!! yippeeeee!

DebbieG on Wednesday, 23 September 2009

I'm supposed to be getting an early night, but I just can't stop reading all of these incredible messages - and agreeing with every single one of them. I feel lucky and privileged to have stumbled across you, you touch so many people and make such a difference to their lives - how amazing is that? I think that all of us respect you for your hard work and determination, your humility, your love for your family, your creativity and your unfaltering ability to entertain us and make us feel really good about ourselves. Thank You Tim xxx

Listening to Darkside on the "ready for this?" cd every time I go out in my car. Love the full band version (almost as much as solo Tim) The "yippeeeeee!" still brightens my day every time. S:o)

Fiona on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Well - just about recovered enough to drop comment on last night's show in York - summed up in a word.......Awesome!!! Have been a fan of yours and thought I'd treat my daughter to an 18th birthday never to forget - and I was right!!! She is now a convert and we can't wait to see you when you're next in the UK. Thanks again for the photo with her - made her day! You seem a genuinely nice guy - and with so much talent I don't know where to start!! Hope Phil Daoust is eating his words!!! May you entertain for many years to come xx

Jake on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Hey Tim, saw you at the York show last night! Fantastic show! Still laughing at the Song For Phil Daoust ^_^ Thanks for the photo!! :D All my college friends can't believe it!

Toni on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

I was at the York show last night and I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed it, especially the spiel about the hippy chick Storm. I had a big silly grin on my face the whole way through the show. I bought along a friend who didn't know your stuff and you now have a new convert. Thank you for doing canvas bags, it made my night.

Viv on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Saw your show at Brighton and was utterly amazed. All that unashamed brain and talent, you will save us all, I hope. Now I'll have to buy all DVDs....thank you very much for a glorious humanity-enhancing hilarious uplifting time.

Mike on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

Went to the York show last night and i have to say , credit where credit due mate - you certainly deserve it. Hilarious, poignant, muscially phenomenal and thought provokingly sound - pretty much summed it up. You are either a genuine legend or a f Kin amazin blagger. Either way (and to be fair i actually dont really care cos it was well worth the money anyway) you will be pleased to know you have secured at least two ticket sales next time you appear in the north....something i suspect will help you sleep better at night I'm sure ; ) Such such such a good night out and one that won't be forgotten.

Steve Robinson on Tuesday, 22 September 2009

You are the future of humour young Tim.

Sue on Monday, 21 September 2009

Just back from York, you were frickin awesome... first time I've seen you live and it was brilliant.. Would of loved to have chatted afterwards, but you were getting molested by fangirlies!! Oh well, I got an autograph, photo and a kiss so am happy. :o) When you touring in England again? Please come to Hull next time (we have a bigger theatre!). xx

BinFlinchin on Monday, 21 September 2009

Have been singing 'f-asterisk-asterisk-k I love boobs tho' all blinkin day in a number of inappropriate places. It's such a catchy little gem of a number. I love it...although I don't actually love boobs. I'm a girl.

Roz on Monday, 21 September 2009

Phew! Glad you got (or will get) your laptop back - I was worried about it - imagining lyrics and baby photos lost forever.......

Ryan on Monday, 21 September 2009

Saw you in Stoke last night, the show was absolutely awesome... Shame you have no shows in North Wales, but the travelling was worth it! Can't wait for your return! :)

Deborah on Monday, 21 September 2009

Just watched "Rock + Roll Nerd " documentary. Cannot wait till I see you LIVE! in October.Feel like a kid at Cnristmas counting down the days.

Elizabeth on Monday, 21 September 2009

Hey Tim, Saw you at Buxton last week - a birthday treat for me from my daughters - and what a treat it was!! We laughed till our faces hurt! It was the first time I have seen you live, but won't be the last because you have to be the most talented comedian I have probably ever seen - amazing voice(s), brilliant pianist, gorgeous eyes! Come back soon please.

Jasmine (Jazzamine) on Monday, 21 September 2009

Hey. You were so fucking awesome in Brighton. I was extremely happy to be the 16 year old red-headed girl with the neon necklaces in the second row and totally star-struck when I met you afterwards! Thanks for signing my stuff and letting me get a picture with you (which, by the way, i think will now be my facebook profile picture forever!!) The show was immense. I also brought the new CD. Just like to say that White Wine In The Sun is such an amazing song, I think I actually might have shed a few tears whilst listening to it for the first time. I first discovered you whilst watching The Secret Policeman's Ball then I looked you up on YouTube, I then went on to buy So Rock and Darkside and I'd just like to say thank you because listening to your music was one of the things that got me through a tough year :) I can't wait for Ready For This ? to come out on DVD in the UK. I have already got So F**king Rock Live but I am planning on buying the special edition DVD when it comes out next month. You rock Tim! x

rebel wolf on Monday, 21 September 2009

Hey Tim! Introduced to your work via Sideshow when you played 'If You Loved Me', I've been hooked on your work ever since. Just can't get 'Canvas Bags' out of my head! Anyway, best of luck for the future and can't wait for your 09/10 aussie gig!

Irving Jest on Monday, 21 September 2009

Far be it for a lowly mortal to try and flatter you a God (yes that is what i believe you to be there can be no other explanation), but i just cant help myself if there is anyone else out there who is more gifted than yourself in the ways of music and comedy they can surely only be you in disguise trying out some new material. A faulted logic maybe but what can i say its 1:30 in the am and im extremely tired (for which i happily blame yourself and youtube). So to conclude Have nothing more to say other than may the your brilliance be recognised by 1 and all.......or something like I said I'm very tired.

Heather Who on Sunday, 20 September 2009

Thank you for bestowing your brilliance upon the world. You are extremely talented, wonderfully witty, and absolutely adorable! The feral look suits you. :) The Pacific Northwest (specifically, Portland, Oregon, or thereabouts) anxiously awaits one of your outstanding performances.

Tammy Reynolds on Sunday, 20 September 2009

Really sorry to hear that your laptop has gone missing, you probably don't want to be reminded again, but just letting you know I feel for your technologically-disadvantaged soul. Good luck on finding it. x Listen to True-Spandau Ballet It will cheer you up. Not the best song of all time, but cheesey.

Andrea on Sunday, 20 September 2009

I came to your show in St Albans last night, which was the highlight of my year and thought it was utterly brilliant. Just want to apologize for licking you afterwards....should not have had that last glass of wine and now i'm mortified. Sorry x

Elliot Hollingsworth on Sunday, 20 September 2009

Hey Tim, been listening to your songs for a fair few months now and I think they're all absolutely incredible; recently discovered 'drowned'. Jesus Christ, that song is devestatingly beautiful! Seeing you on the 27th at Coventry, actually cannot wait! See you soon, -Elliot

Cath on Saturday, 19 September 2009

Hi Tim - came to see you for the first time in Buxton last week, having no expectations beyond a hope that it might be an amusing night out and 'something a bit different'. Came away a converted fan with slightly ringing ears from the screamed demands for an encore; utterly brilliant!! Not Perfect was the highlight for me (it's just gorgeous) but loved all of it, especially Dark Side, If I Didn't Have You and Canvas Bags :) Keep doing what you do - you're a joy to watch (and then listen to over and over again on CD); your family must be immensely proud of you :)

Katie on Saturday, 19 September 2009

HIIIIIIII me and my friend just got back from seeing you in Brighton. We waited for you outside the stage door but we had to rush off for the train almost as soon as we saw you. But honesty, best moment of my life right there (we did quite a lot of screaming as we ran off you probably heard!) I'm so sad we didn't get to hang around longer that I'm actually trying to book tickets to see you again as soon as possible which is proving pretty darn tricky. I am aiming for Nottingham though, so maybe see you there :) x x x

Nomble on Friday, 18 September 2009

Was introduced to your work via Face Book and am totally addicted. Up until now I thought I was fortunate to have moved from Bristol to Cyprus but would give my right arm to see you live at the Colston Hall! As you might have noticed by your squillions of fans you have no need to worry about anyone dissing you ever again cos we all agree you are so fucking rock!

Tom on Friday, 18 September 2009

Hey Tim! Love all your songs, still can't stop singing Prejudice to myself, as well as plenty of others. I was in the front row at Leeds fest, one of the sweaty teenagers - I was wearing a black cap. You're a legend; keep it up! :D

Hey Tim, Just to clarify, as a normal person I do not have any intention of asking for your address to bring you cookies, however my best friend being fairly un-normal and an enormous fan would probably love to. Love the work as I always have, just gutted all the dates this year were sold out by the time I tried to book for me and her lol. Lookin forward to seein you on your next UK tour. All the best pal

Hayley on Thursday, 17 September 2009

Went to your show in Buxton last night and what can I say... amazing! Having seen your DVD I was very excited about seeing you live and its fair to say you definately didn't disappoint. Loved 'If I Didn't Have You' especially with the mistakes. Can't wait to see more material.

Lianne on Thursday, 17 September 2009

I am missing Richard Dawkins' speaking engagement here at home to come to your show. He only gets to this part of the world slightly more than you do. It was a very hard choice, Mr. Dawkins vs. Mr. Minchin. I think it was your more developed dark side which made my decision.

Gillian on Thursday, 17 September 2009

Hello! My name is Gillian and I absolutely LOVE your work, Tim! It's amazing. I was thinking about the "So Live" gig and I love everything from it. It seems to me that you are going to turn out to be like a rock star after all because when I go to see you in Glasgow on the 11th of October, I'll be singing along and thats what happens at gigs right? Anyways, looking forward to it and hope this isn't like the most stupid message you've had. Lots of love and keep rocking! XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Marianne on Thursday, 17 September 2009

Hey Tim, I saw you last night at Buxton for the second time, I was also at the Warrington gig, and once again superb. Your face was a picture when the backing for 'If i didn't have you' skipped, and to have to do nearly the whole thing twice was really funny to watch even if it felt like a long time on stage. I'm the woman who requested a few different encore songs and ultimately you offered to perform at my house... an offer which would be most welcome! If you're ever in South Cumbria you and your wife and kids are more than welcome - my 3 year old Eve (the one giving the forks in a picture) loves the Peace anthem and Canvas bag plus my nine year old Luke is avidly practising his beat box skills because he reckons you're so funny and good at it. Anyway great to meet you, I'll keep some ginger beer chilled and some ginger nuts in the cupboard, ever hopeful... Alternatively, it would be brilliant if you would do a gig in Cumbria, 200 mile four hour round trips are fun and all but my finances nor carbon footprint can afford much more. I just really wanted to say you rock and thank you for being so bloody funny.

Lee (Ginger) on Thursday, 17 September 2009

Saw your show in Buxton last night and what a show it was!! I absolutely loved it. Your new material was amazing and to hear "Canvas Bag" live was just the icing on the cake! Cant wait to see what else you got instore for us all.

Jen on Wednesday, 16 September 2009

Yo dude you rock. Can wait for your cd to be released in the uk. I would like to come and see you in London, but we would have liked to see you at a smaller venue than Hamersmith like we did at the South Bank.

Piotr on Wednesday, 16 September 2009

I just went out to a supermarket to buy some beer and I took with me a plastic bag that I already had at home. It's alright isn't it? Cheers from Poland

Graeme Buxton on Wednesday, 16 September 2009

Only found out about you last month but your work has drawn me in and I was showing your 'anger-poem' to some friends who now love your work and are desperate to see you on Oct. 12 at the music hall. Aberdeen is nice and its people are in need of you.. feel free to pop round to my place afterwards for a cup of tea, no man sex I promise! Well maybe a little, like a fingertip dip. Peace bra.

Got front row seats for the gig in Glasgow on the 11th of October and CANNOT wait! Seriously excited, it's going to be amazing. Lovelove xx

Sarah (White Wine fan) on Wednesday, 16 September 2009

Your songs have a tendency to pop into my head and, inadvertently, out of my mouth in the most inappropriate situations. Usually it happens in the supermarket, the street, or worse, in a piano lesson with an 8 year old. I have also found myself whooping at the end of songs on your cd's whilst driving. Is there a cure for this strange form of tourettes?

Natalie Parker on Wednesday, 16 September 2009

My best mate and I got tickets for your gig in Norwich on 13 Sep after discovering your So F***in Rock DVD and playing it all through our holiday - what an amazing show, you are even better live and you thoroughly deserved the standing ovation after your beautiful 'we-can-hear-a-pin-drop' rendition of 'Hallelujah'. Thanks for coming to Norwich! (PS I was the one who added the 'whoop' at the end of the audience participation of 'mna, mna' 'doo doo doo doo doo' - I didn't mean to, it just popped out and isn't like me at all!) Laughed our asses off for 99% of your show (the 1% was Hallelujah!) and sang along when we knew the words and even went so far as to buy a canvas bag each! Take care and have a great time on the remainder of your tour! Natalie and Loz

Hi Tim. I'm so excited about seeing you on Friday in Brighton. Me, my boyfriend and friend are sitting in the second row. we would love it if you was to join us before the show, and we can show you around Brighton. Its an awesome place, if its not raining lol.

Hey Tim, Check this out; Us angry feeter fans have been recognised by the dictionary! Impressive, huh? Okay.. so it’s the Urban Dictionary, nothing professional or anything, but hey – you can get the definition printed on a mug. That’s pretty fucking rock if I do say so myself. I bet you’re proud of us fans, right? :D Here’s the link; http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=feeter There’s even a bit of a plug mentioned for the Ready For This? CD on iTunes. That’s handy. (I’m not sure if you get that reference. It’s a take off of a commercial being aired on Australian TV about paper towels. That’s handy.. yeah? no? okay.. never mind).

Roz on Tuesday, 15 September 2009

Saw you in Warrington 'lovely gates' last week and coming to see you again in Buxton tomorrow with my daughter and her friends. it was my daughter who introduced me to your work; she is obsessed with you and I'm heading the same way! 'Storm' could have been written about my ma in law (well, without the tatoo, natch, but she comes out with the same tripe about the Pharmaceutical industry etc and swears by Angels and Flower Faires, you name it! Just wondering if the DVD of Rock n Roll Nerd is going to be available in the UK anytime soon? Love to you and the family.

Lisa Powell on Monday, 14 September 2009

Ola, saw your Ready For This? show in Cardiff last week - have never laughed so much in my life!! I've no shame in saying that Canvas Bag and Darkside were the highlights of my night!! Awesomely, awesomely, awesome!!! Thanks for being alive!!

Carrie Caston on Monday, 14 September 2009

Hi Tim, Just wanted to say I've had 'inflatable you' stuck in my head for about 3 months now. I'm very slowly driving my boyfriend (and quite frankly, myself) utterly insane with it and there is nothing I seem to be able to do. We have tickets to see you this Saturday at the oddly named St Albans "Arena" (you'll understand when you get there). Honestly, I don't mind having your music perpetually playing on loop in my head, but if you could try to wedge a new song in there on Saturday, I would be very grateful for the change. It did randomly deviate to the '10-foot cock' song, but not for long enough to provide any lasting rest-bite. Many Thanks!

Fran R-H on Monday, 14 September 2009

hey! saw you in Norwich last night, really fab. loved the encore, loved it all. Cant wait to see you again - you talented young thing! x

Sarah (White Wine fan) on Monday, 14 September 2009

The two songs I hadn't heard before coming along to the show were "confessions" and "the good book". Both Hilarious. The juxtaposition of two viewpoints works brilliantly in "Confessions". The country style "Good book" really reminded me of They Might Be Giants, which is great cos I love there stuff too. Did their music ever make it to Oz? Uber-silly but kinda clever too. xx

Mandy Needham on Monday, 14 September 2009

Wonderful show in Norwich last night, and thank you so much for the amazing encore. See you next time. Mandy x

TC on Monday, 14 September 2009

Hello sir. Glad to see an album of yours now available in the US iTunes Store! Here's to hoping you'll come stateside yourself soon. Cheers!

Stefania on Monday, 14 September 2009

Hey Tim, I bought your new dvd on the weekend and I love it. It is really amazing. I dare say more awesome than so live. And the song book. I love it, freaking amazing. And in many ways I think it may help my song writing alone a little. No need to worry, I'm not taking your genre. lol. Can't wait to see you in Melbourne in December too. My bestie and I are going to see it. I'm buying him a ticket for his birthday. Well much love. Good luck with everything.

Dan McGill on Monday, 14 September 2009

Long and the short of it. I found out about you by mistake, kind of like penacillin, except as far as I know you don't cure anything but extreme cases of boredom and human ignorance. I've listened to your music and stand-up routines for a good six months or so now. In fac I've listened so much so that I could probably recite half your work off by heart, but now I'm rambling on pointlessly. I wanna say you are amazingly bright, you write brilliant and hilarious songs that brighten up my dull and relatively uneventful life like a second sun. you're a credit to the worlds of music, comedy, and musical comedy. Here's hoping you one day visit my side of the globe in a venue that I can actually manage to visit. Thank you for what you've brought to the world. Sincerely; Daniel J. McGill (Your number one Canadian fan)

Cheltenham town hall is nice. Gonna go back for classical concert some time soon. Your Steinway - yum!!!!!! Totally excellent performance Tim. You are fab live, so ridiculously energetic and funny. What was the random bandname shouting heckler all about!?!?! The sound of the track in bears don't dig was too loud - couldn't hear the piano... No other criticisms other than you need to take care of your voice, you still have to be able to sing in Oxford. xx Homophones rock! Caerdydd is fab – did a music degree there and had my graduation ceremony (silly gown and cap!) in Neuadd Dewi Sant. Have fun x

But just wanted to say that everything about your performance was sheer genius. Your talent just blows me away. Anyway, keep those feet on the ground, and all the best for the tour. Cheers, Andy B.

LilyRose on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Just found the elusive word I couldn't unearth from the dark recesses of my tired post-show/late night supermarket shop/early morning school/laundry/work get-up mind earlier. Unprecedented. I have taken the unprecedented step of booking tickets for a show I have just seen; for the sheer heart thumping, breathtaking joy of seeing, hearing it and experiencing it all over again. Even though I have also spent most of the day checking out all Tim's other material on the net and maxing out on the volume on my computer's speakers while I attempt (fruitlessly) to concentrate on my work. Forget it. Intellectual and just sheer joy stimulation like last night's show; my first real introduction to Tim's work and world view, don't come along that often. Life affirming stuff. Go see !!!! I'm too excited and just plum happy and full of the joys of Spring in September to work. Luckily I 'work' from home so I'm off to the garden now to sing 'Canvas bags' at the top of my middle aged lungs; croon, prune and commune, with cats, roses, butterflies, respectively. All this plus unseasonally sunny sunshine and tea too, and lovely daughter home from school any minute; at which point I can share the delicious news that we are seeing the show again on Saturday. YAY !!!!!!!Life is good !

Melanie on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Please, if only for a little while, will you vacate my head?

LilyRose on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Damn. Just re-read my post.My spelling, grammar and punctuation are shot. Guess I got a bit over excited re-living the A+++++ fabulousity that was last night's show. Oops. I did it again. Tim Minchin, the man who makes people make up new words to describe his work; cos the old ones just aren't oomphy enough to tell it like he does it.

LilyRose on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Hey Kirsten. Don't fret over much about your seats being further back. We saw the show last night in Swindon and I was getting a bit nerotic pre-show about the sound check taking longer than expected so we tok a while to get seated; then once inside, the sound and lighting desk were in the stalls; which I thought would be a hideous distraction. Rest assured, the rigorous attention to detail on the sound and staging of this show made it utterly transcend these perceived inconveniences. It was the best show of any show I have ever seen or heard; and I have been a devoted gig goer for more years than I care to recall. Also, we were fairly far back, and it did not detract one jot. Tim projects into each and every every molecule of the auditorium and totally and utterly fills it with his performance. Also of course, you could do what I am going to do, which is to take the hitherto untaken step of going to see him again at a show with seats scarily upfront and personal. And no. I can't afford it. But yes, I think it's going to be worth every penny !

Kirsten on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Hey Tim, I have tickets to see you at Reading Hexagon on 4th October but the tickets we got weren't meant to be sold so we got moved.. We were right at the front now we are right at the back! Apparently where we were going to be sitting is where your stairs are going to be. I just can't believe it has taken them 4-5 months to realise this. I am so annoyed i could rip someones head off, i was so looking forward to seeing you right up close! xx

Sarah (White Wine fan) on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Just been over to Cheltenham with my husband to check where to park tonight (I'm such a wimp at driving!) Had a lovely coffee in the pretty and sunny Imperial gardens overlooking the statue of Holst. A rare thing for us to be just us two (2 kids both in school now). Felt like a holiday; the tables outside cafe rouge and a random old man playing harmonica whose tunes neatly segue from "the street where you live" to "o sole mio/one cornetto" I just looked up the lyrics to "sole mio" on wiki and they're really sweet - I never knew. My husband kept winding me up and saying "There's Tim Minchin", which might have been funny but I'm too dense and thought he something about a village. Perhaps I should get myself a blog. What I wanted to say was, thanks Tim for playing Cheltenham and therefore facilitating our lovely little jaunt in the sun. See ya later.............

LilyRose on Thursday, 10 September 2009

Hello Tim. Saw you at the Wyvern in Swindon last night and your performance was transplendent. Don't know if that's a word but it should be as it was made for you. I had seen you on tv singing one song (the one dedicated to your wife) and thought the show would be pretty similar; clever, funny songs and a bit of banter. Wow. What an underestimation on my part. I was completely and utterly blown away by your perfectly balanced blend of rockismo, charm, musical virtuosity which somehow managed to dazzle while never straying into showoffy territory; plus of course your material is just so damned laugh out loud feel good funny. You're a bl**dy genius and every penny I spent on bringing my '16' (?!!!) year old daughter to see you last night was a worthwhile investment in in our happiness. Just brilliant. Thanks and all the best for the rest of the tour. Dazzling. Enjoy the sunshine today and get some rest so you keep your glittering self as sparkling as you were last night. Thanks for coming to Swindon. Rock on !xx

I discovered Bill Bailey some time ago. I first saw you at a mates house we were all say round and you came on, and we loved CANVAS BAGS !!!! And ever since, we have been hooked on the minchin! I may be coming to see you at the assembly hall if i can raise my funds soon ! I was wondering if there is any backing tracks for some of your songs as im doing A Level performing arts and cant play piano and i would love to do a song of yours to get me a grade. so is there?

You really are so fucking rock! Cannot wait to see you in October x

PointlessSpike on Wednesday, 9 September 2009

Just saw So Live. Absolute genius- your musical talents are Godlike. In a good way, not an insulting way. You mix music and satire flawlessly, so keep up the good work, and maybe one day to say that the world revolves around you won't be pretentious. Good luck.

Araminta Montgomery on Tuesday, 8 September 2009

I travelled 7 hours on train to see you perform in swansea, it is 300 miles away from home, but when you play in london and in closer areas i am back at uni in wales. It was worth it, apart from the bear was a bit rubbish. I am putting on a show called east and your beat poem 'Storm' really inspired me to try some new things. I am trying to see you again before you head off to aus. Its nice to see someone passionate about what they do. Lots of care Araminta

I can see a lot of inspiration coming from some of the Richard Dawkins' programmes that I've just started watching - particularly Slaves to Superstition, highly recommended viewing - you, him and Derren Brown are fast becoming my Unholy Trinity of logic and reason! :) I went from being shown one of your songs on youtube, to watching the dvds twice to buying a ticket for your upcoming show (YAY!) in about a week! Absolutely love your work. xx

Saskia on Tuesday, 8 September 2009

I don't know why, but Not Perfect really touches me every time I listen to it. You have a rare gift, you touch peoples hearts ánd make them listen in a very unexpected way. And some might actually even hear it, if they can open their mind long enough and detach themselves from the tight strings of society. It must be very satisfying to do what you do. Thnx.

Dan Pearce on Monday, 7 September 2009

Hey Tim, I just wanted to write a quick note to ask - nay, BEG - you to get your rather hilarious self down to Devon for a gig. Admittedly, it's not the best place in the world, but the beaches are nice and there are a couple of decent venues ... I'm not really selling this, am I? Okay, I'm going to stop writing now (maybe not right now, but once I've finished this sentence) and leave you to whatever you're doing, but my request remains the same. Pleeease? Ta!

Hello Tim, my whole family are fans of yours. My husband and I came to see you at Warrington Parr Hall - I shouted for Inflatable you as the encore. Absolutely superb show, my favourite song has to be your encore song White wine in the sun. Nice to know you're a normal person like the rest of us. I'm mostly pleased to have come away feeling a bit more alive, woken up by seeing someone whose views follow a path less travelled but with the passion and conviction that you are completely right. You are right too - in my humble opinion. Thank you and see you again. Oooh, last thing my daughter was 3 on 1st September and she loves singing your peace anthem in the car with me - could she be your youngest fan?

Jo on Sunday, 6 September 2009

Tim, what an intelligent, hilarious and stunning man you are! I came from Liverpool to see you at Warrington on the 4th and I loved every second of your show. I thought White Wine In The Sun was such a beautiful song and it brought a tear to my eye. But I have to say, I think Prejudice was my fave! I truly think you are a comedy genius and I cannot wait to come to your next tour (whenever that may be) Lots of love, Jo (the girl near the front who gave you not one but TWO standing ovations) :) XXXX

Hannah on Sunday, 6 September 2009

Hi Tim. I saw you at Warrington on Friday and you were, without a doubt, AMAZING! I don't think I've ever laughed so much as I did that night. Your songs are PURE GENIUS! I loved canvas bags, you even managed to pursuade me to buy one! I can't wait to see you again on your next tour, and I can't wait for more of your AMAZING CDs. Love you lots Tim, Hannah Taylor x

You were AMAZING at Leeds Festival!! I don't think I've ever laughed as much as I did that afternoon! As soon as I got home I got tickets for your show in York on the 21st, and I can't WAIT for it!! Keep up the good work!!

Katie (Law Student) on Saturday, 5 September 2009

I just listened to your song "If I didn't have you". Having only recently discovered you, (recommended by a friend) I initially approached your performance as something at which I would merely laugh, perhaps recommend to others, but ultimately find just humourous. However, I came away with something so much more. The song had a Shakespearesque poignancy (resonant of sonnet 130) yet simultaneously demonstrated the superficiality of modern love ballads, and the shallow nature of manufactured love songs. After listening to more of your songs, I cannot help admiring your talents. I never write in Guestbooks, and usually refuse to become 'fans' of anyone, but you are such a refreshing entertainer who, whilst making me laugh, also gives me something by which I can be intellectually stimulated, and that I has to say something. In the modern day, when lav jokes are still the basis of so much humour, I cannot thank enough whatever entity, process or substance which brought you into being. I will try to buy tickets for your Bristol Colston Hall show if I can get them. But I wouldn't miss it for the world if it can be helped.

Quinny (Psycho-Pianist) on Saturday, 5 September 2009

Recently I logged onto Spotify and searched for some of your work, Tim, and was devestated to find that you weren't on there. Why not? You and your work deserve it.

Nic, Beth, Claire and Tam on Saturday, 5 September 2009

Hey Tim, you were amazing last night. We loved the show and can't wait to see you again. You are a genius and we think the show was brilliant even though there were so many photographs being taken. Cant wait to see you again. xxxx

Hannah on Saturday, 5 September 2009

Fabulous work Mr Minchin :) Enjoyed the show at the Parr Hall, you may have been upstaged by Chris at one point though, otherwise completely flawless (well, not including the dodgy speaker and keyboard/guitar)! Great show, great fun. ;)

Hello Tim Please, please, please tell me how to get "We don't eat pigs" out of my head......It's been there since last night and even my 5 yr old little girl is singing it now.... "You don't eat pigs - We don't eat pigs - la la la la la la" (who knows either... it may just work!)

scott-Diggety-Dawg on Friday, 4 September 2009

Stephanie on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi Mr Minchin, we were at the gig in Derby(pronounced Darby)last night which was an amazing end to the crazy and eventful day my friends and I were having. Our appologies if we were a bit odd/crazy when we met you after the gig, we may have consumed too many sweets during the interval, apparently adults go crazy on sugar too, who knew?! xxx P.S. Do you know why one of the stage technicion men was wearing a cow on his head during the interval?

Georgia on Friday, 4 September 2009

Iloveyouuuuuuuuu;;x u were amazing at the lowry on the 1st <3 xxxxxxxxxxx

David on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi Tim, saw the Derby show last night - really enjoyed it. By the way we were sat in front of the American man you were talking to during the show - guess what? It was a woman - which is funny in it's self. It was the first time I'd heard Confessions and I now can't stop singing it - all the time - during Board Meetings, the School Run, during sex ... finally, can I put the bear costume on next time you play Derby, I can definitely dance better than Ben the Bear and will growl when kicked. Grrrr. David

Gary Starr on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi Tim, saw you in Derby last night... amazing gig, never laughed so much. just wanted to say thanks so much for making my world a little brighter (its not perfect...but its mine) your an inspiration, so much so i decided at the age of 36 id buy a piano and finally learn.... I also may grow my hair and get a tattoo with your name across my chest (lol im joking by the way - well except the piano bit).. I digress also in the hope you read this, thank you for the song "if i didnt have you" it works on so many levels, including if you were dumped by what you believed to be your soul mate .... first time i heard it i was driving, and feeling rather sorry for my self - this song made everything right in my head and I now have a girl with neck down alopecia. life is good. Thank you again for making another human being laugh (I owe you a beer one day) regards Gary

HR on Friday, 4 September 2009

hi Tim. You were amazing last night in Derby, especially with all the chaos! I am now a very proud owner of a very sexy canvas bag and your CD has been playing constantly. keep the songs coming and come back to Derby soon!xx

Steff on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hey tim, Steff again Just read some comments that you did autographs after the show, BOO we didn't see you. ): Oh well, thanks for the awesome show, too bad someone ruined one of your jokes! But you made it all the funnier. (: Heres a cookie. hugs from Steff

elizabeth hobson on Friday, 4 September 2009

Veronica Cooling on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi!It's Ronni here (you worship me). You now have a new fan. 6 year old Jamie loves Canvas Bags, too. But I was wondering, now that we don't have John Howard anymore, what do you sing when you do Not Perfect? Because we really like to sing and also be up-to-date. I won't start anymore sentences with conjunctions, I promise. Jeepers, you're brilliant.

Tinkerbell on Friday, 4 September 2009

Came to your Derby show last night - hope you ended up thinking positive side of the bell curve! New or old stuff, we love it so...I voted for Perfect (very loudly) but was outnumbered, ah well, mybe next time! Fantastic night, thank you! xxx

Samragi on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi Tim! I saw your gig last night in Derby, and I havent laughed so hard for a very long time. I think I'm developing a crush - 'like' seriously!! The last time I got so excited about anyone was way back in the 90s. I'm 31 and married as well - but quite open to a snog. Anyhoo, boring post and all that - here's wishing you all the best with the tour and life in general and all that jazz. Look forward to some new material soon - but I still love all the old stuff, so its win win. Hope you come back to Durrrby! xxxx

Lizzle Dizzle on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi Tim! In sunny-ish Perth atm, went to the Wateraid Sanitized Ball last night at UWA. When i heard you were a donor of one of the silent auction items i nearly wet my pants in excitment on the slight chance you may have been in the room...sadly wasn't to be. I bid on your poster but some crazed-scottish-fan-guy was hovering over my bid and took the prize =(. So i consoled myself with buying tix for your concert on Dec 15. Can't wait!!! =)

Magnus on Friday, 4 September 2009

Hi there, I'm a devoted fan, with a bit of a problem with location. I would love to see you live but taking the trip to England for that sole purpose is a bit expensive. Is there any chance you would like to pop by Norway? Its the perfect place for you because you want to make money, which is very possible as we have a quite high interest in humor, but a very short supply of it. And we are not too good at recognizing semi-celebrities that aren't Norwegian, so you can have a nice relaxing couple of days with your family here.

15 Year Old Wannabe Groupie :) on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hello Tim :) I came to see you on the 1st at Salford -(opening night Yay) and can I just say you were bloody amazing, it was unreal. It was like I wasnt expecting you to actually be there, when you came out during "ready for this" I turned to my mate like "OMGOMGOMG!! He's actually there" It was funny when you was saying "As I get older my audience gets younger" - I have only just turned 15 but i love you lots and lots Tim. Will definetly be seeing you next time round :) Proud owner of your sexy canvas bag too :) Love You xxx

Craig on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Woot! Just seen you in Derby, hope you learnt a thing or two :P And here's an idea, the Dinosaurs aren't dead, just dressed up as goths so they look dead :D

Alex on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hi Tim, just saw you at derby. Great show! Definately on the positive side of the bell curve!

James on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hi Tim, i'm the 13 year old boy you made dress up as a bear and dance at the lowry (second night). Amazing! Thanks so much! Hope to go to more gigs! Biggest Fan - James P.S. You said you would pay me for that bear dance…

Jayde on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Dude, saw you at Leeds fest. was amazing. see you in YORK :D

Shel on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hi Tim, Saw you last night at the Lowry on a last minute decision (thanks to ebay and our last minute babysitter too: we are seriously skint as it's school hols and three kids equals large childcare bill, but you WERE worth the expense!!) and had a fab night, for which I wanted to say thanks so much. My stomach muscles actually HURT this morning I was laughing so hard - and my husband had tears streaming down his face at one point!! Notable point: I think it's the first time I have ever come across the word 'perineum' used in a song... maybe I have been listening to the wrong stuff all these years?! Sx

Amy Chatterton on Thursday, 3 September 2009

OMG I've just managed to get three tickets for your gig at St George's Hall in bradford it's fate! Can't wait till October now! You were brilliant at The Lowry so I'm sure you'll be even better with a Yorkshire crowd behind you xxx

Liza (wickedlibrarian) on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Dear Human, Thank you for being such a fantastic human, and making me so happy to be a human, too. xx

Tony on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hi Tim, went to your gig last night a pretty deflated discombobulated mess after a few pretty hairy months. Not only did I spend thge entire evening pissing myself laughing but also, that last song, not perfect literally pulled me up by the scruff of the neck and woke me up to the sobering, or intoxifying realisation that I have been spending faaaarrrr too muich time wallowing on the negative things and putting to one side the things and the people that make me smile, and that life is far to short and far too fragile a comodity to be ruined by things and people that make my outlook negative or tenuous or harder than necissary! Strange you would think that these light bulbs would start flashing at a comedy gig, but you're clearly far more than just a very very funny man, and I just want to thank you for re-opening my eyes! I will definately be coming to see you again and I'll be eagerly spreading the word!!! NO MORE PLASTIC BAGS OR BEAR DANCING!!!

Annie on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hey Big M :o) Had a blindin time last night at the Lowry, I was in the front row (which I didn't expect, our ticket stated Row B... but what happened to Row A...???) My mate and I have been ever so slightly obsessed since 'So Fucking Rock' appeared on our mini silver screen, and luckily got the last few tickets for last night - woo hoo! You were amazing, I haven't laughed that much in ages... my face hurt afterwards. Credit goes to the dancing bear as well though, the best dancing bear there ever was. It was fab from start to finish and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Had 'Canvas Bag' stuck in my head since last night, and thought 'Storm' was the coolest thing since your angry poem. I hope the rest of your tour goes just as well, and good luck with everything else you do. I'm sure I'll see another show... XXX xxx XXX xxx

Jodie on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Yay Tim! New tour, New people converted I had to get a jag yesterday and I was singing one of your songs to make it hurt less. It was Darkside, then I went onto My Neighbours Ass. Not a good idea in a school assembly hall. My friend rebecca is getting converted to loving you and she recognised the song. She just hummed it though. We were all bricking it. (thats a polite way of saying we very nearly shat ourselves when we saw the length of the needle(about two centimeters) MAS) Thanks for making awesome songs to make injections hurt less =D

Amy Chatterton on Thursday, 3 September 2009

Hi Tim! Saw your show in manchester last night, it was bloody brilliant! Thank you so much for making my year I wish I could come see you on more dates of your tour. Good luck with the rest of your tour chuck can't wait till the next one-maybe next time you could play in Leeds?! I guarantee it'd sell out in a day! Love you millions xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Sarah on Wednesday, 2 September 2009

ARRRGGGH you were so fab last night Tim! Been singing canvas bags all day (gotta love the pyros) really tempted to try to get another ticket for tonight but that could be considered slightly obsessive...haha. I will absolutely be seeing you again in the future though...LOVED YOU!! X X X

Show I attended: Opening night 01.09.09 Stalls, Row C, Seat 14 Just had to write and gush about how much I enjoyed last nights show. I am one of the E4 generation of your fans who only discovered you when the broadcast "SO F*CKING rOCK" live in mid July. Life has not been the same since and seeing you last night was like a pilgrimage (sorry for the religious reference!). When you jumped up on the chairs I have to say sorry for pawing at your leg like some demented groupie who had just arrived on the sunshine bus - but if you are going to put your leg 12 inches from my hand I AM GOING TO MOVE MOUNTAINS to get those 12 inches over!! :o) Thank you for making life better, you are as wonderful as chocolate cheesecake and you contain no calories, additives or artificial flavourings. Forever your loyal subject....Alex

connie on Tuesday, 1 September 2009

Please, Tim come to Austria!!! You would really enrich our country with your presence. It would be really great - amazing, if you pay a visit to our "Alpenrepublik". We (I and friends of me) have come to the conclusion, that it would be more beneficial for the environment, if you come to our country instead of an austrian migration to the UK or another tourlocation ... wish you a good time with your autumn tour :) Connie xx

My friend is going to see you in Salford on Wednesday and so I checked the venue's website and they said there were tickets left and I got hugely excited but it lied! So I do hope you come around again soon, maybe even to Liverpool? It's awesome here, honest! Mucho respect :) Sarah x
