Tim! It's been quite awhile since I've posted anything. Hope all is well with you and family. The hubby won a trip through his job to Los Angeles with all expenses paid by HBO... long story short.. we had a fab time living it up and on the last night there, HBO hosted a posh dinner for all of us and we got to meet one of the head honchos in charge of Comedy specials/series etc. I couldn't help myself and asked how HBO went about choosing comedians for specials... told her I was a huge fan of the one and only Tim Minchin. She was psyched and said that they indeed had their eye on you and were hoping to head to Edinburgh this year. Now of course I am nothing more than a peon with a husband who won a trip from HBO... and she could have considered me to be nothing more than a mad fan but I had to tell her how much your US fans would love to see you in your own special. It was very cool to see that she indeed knew about you AND wasn't just nodding at me... she mentioned a few of your songs... which of course saved her from having me shove the earphones from my iPod at her so she could listen to your tunes.
