Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

Please come to New Zealand!! Are there any shows planned for NZ while your in Aussie early next year? Alittle tip about NZ - its not as small as everyone thinks it is, so please do shows in both islands. Better yet just play the small towns, we're so friendly, it'll be like going home to grans house. lol :)

Shari on Friday, 30 September 2011

Tim, why no love for Canada? Western Canada (it's a big country)... Vancouver, BC or Victoria, BC would be nice... I'll bring the cookies.

Mia on Thursday, 29 September 2011

Natasja on Thursday, 29 September 2011

Hello Tim, I discovered you a few months back, and I really like what you do. You are funny as hell, but even more so, it is refreshing to see a comedian who is such a great musician. I have no doubt in my mind that music is an important part of who you are and what you do. Your love for music shines thru your material wether is is a funny or a serious song you are performing at the time. I think it is important to let people who touch your life, know what an impact they have, and that is why I found your website and decided to let you know, just how great you are! If by any chance you'll be able to visit either Denmark, Sweden, Norway or Germany I'll be there to see it. (Upper Germany that is;-)(I don't even know if that makes sense?)) Keep doing what you do best, and know that there is always a place for you in our hearts and on our shelves. Love, Natasja P.S. enjoy the premier of Mathilda. It was always a favorite film of mine, and I am sure the musical is great and will be well received!

Chris Williams on Wednesday, 28 September 2011

Tim, will you be releasing the orchestra tour as a DVD anytime soon? and if so/not when? and if not why not? I went to the gig at Cardiff and it was brilliant... you're wrong by the way, arena's don't ruin comedy, I was hurting (from laughter) by the end of that gig. Also, is Matilda likely to come to Cardiff too? Thanks CW

Kathryn Mackintosh on Wednesday, 28 September 2011

Hey Tim, I find you amazing and you've had me in tears of laughter and tears because your music is SOO Powerfull :'). I can relate your songs to myself and it makes me feel really happy, I'm so glad my mate showed me "Ready For This" In a shop. This is becoming VERY Sloppy very sorry. My life would be made if you came to England. I look up to you, I can't play an instrument but I sing you are my inspiration to keep going. URGH SLOPPY! AGIAN! So sorry. Love, A Fellow Mucked Up Rock And Roll Nerd :) <3

Laura in Wisconsin on Wednesday, 28 September 2011

I happily stumbled upon your fantastic videos while abusing YouTube a few weeks ago and have been pestering friends with video links ever since. I am thrilled I shall get to experience a live performance this coming Saturday. Cheers!

Marc on Wednesday, 28 September 2011

2/3 years ago I randomly stumbled onto comedy central or some similar program and found you! I watched, thought you where a little strange, but I enjoyed it. Looked you up on YouTube and couldn't yet enough. I waited forever for you to come to Liverpool! You finally did and I just want to say thanks! I enjoyed it a 100 times more than I thought I would. The addition of the heritage orchestra was brilliant aswell. Please make sure you come back to Liverpool!

Sara on Wednesday, 28 September 2011

Been having a bit of a rough time the last wee while but tonight I watched Ready For This and I feel far better than I have for a while. It made me laugh, it made me cry but most importantly it made me feel normal. You are the only comedian whose act I actually feel a bit of an affinity with and there are no words to convey the sheer gratitude I have that you do what you do. But I felt compelled to just give it a go anyway: thank you thank you thank you! Hope to see you next time you come to Glasgow. Best wishes for yourself and your family.

Mrs. Marcus on Tuesday, 27 September 2011

Please, please, PLEASE do come to Amsterdam(n)!!! DVD's, CD's and you on YouTube are just a very poor substitute for my weary soul (...my what?).

Simon on Tuesday, 27 September 2011

Dear Tim, I'm a rock and roll nerd. I keep writing music no one will ever hear. Thank you for making it. At least one of us got there. You continue to be an inspiration to the rest of us. Keeping on playing. Simon.

Mark Hammond on Monday, 26 September 2011

Simply the most amazing comedy and wit I have ever heard.

Ian McMurray on Sunday, 25 September 2011

Please come Finland will ya? I just asked my cousin in Australia to send me your DVD but it's not enough! :D You are just what stand-up comedy needs. So keep up the good work!

Jerry Junod on Saturday, 24 September 2011

Tim Minchin, I really hope you read these comments. Weed, Xanax, and beer (me right now). I've thought of all the things I want to tell, but couldn't express them now because of those drugs and also laziness from all the typing I'd have to do to express what is running through my head isn't possible. I respect you sooo much it isn't even funny. I will reply back later when I am fully functional to fully explain my love for you as a, in my opinion, completely down to earth human being. I wish you all the best and I hope to reply back very soon. I really hope you read my next post because I want you to know someone who has had a rough life but is fully aware of what's going on around him opinions.

MK on Saturday, 24 September 2011

hi Tim! i was turned on to your wonderful music and sophisticated sense of humor by my boyfriend's good friend Dave. all 4 of us (myself, my bf, Dave, and Dave's wife) are in love with you, and i would love to see you live in concert someday. Dave and his wife have already seen you live several times (jealous). hope you come back towards Pennsylvania soon. if you wanna chat send me an email. :) Love ~MK

Karen on Friday, 23 September 2011

Um, New Zealand....Can you fit it in, in 2012?

Jon on Thursday, 22 September 2011

As always, my favorite artists tour all around me, but never come to my city. I think the last decent artist to actually do a gig here was Tori Amos back in 2003. I like Albuquerque, but no good acts ever seem to drag their pianos through here! In any case, you are amazing, Tim. Keep it ginger.

Kalvin Manson on Thursday, 22 September 2011

Desde Colombia un saludo Tim, es increíble tu trabajo y debo decir que salvaste mi alma de la perdición en el Cristianismo, y gracias a tu obra ahora mi alma esta segura en el bello espacio de lo inexistente. xD

Radek on Thursday, 22 September 2011

Please come to Poland!

Tiff on Thursday, 22 September 2011

If I discovered you 10 years ago I would never have quit piano.

Freya on Thursday, 22 September 2011

Where do you live? I have cookies, and they're for you. :D

Yannick on Wednesday, 21 September 2011

Hi Tim :) Nice to find your blog. Please forgive me if my english is perfectible, i'm french (sorry, not a real choice... ;) ) I discovered you a less than 2 years ago via ... the axis of awesome (within "4 chords", where "Take your canvas bags" is referenced ^^ ). You're just amazingly incredible. I'm completly jealous of your practice of piano, i so would like to play (and play is the exact right verb :) ) only a tenth as good as you do ... You are a motivation to improve my english skills :) If a day you're going by France (Normandy), please let me know !

cassandra on Wednesday, 21 September 2011

We show your work to everyone we know and they all love it! I do hope you come to Seattle sometime soon!!! Never stop being you.

Howard Lockett on Wednesday, 21 September 2011

Saw the show ont' telly and was blown away, you clever little bastard (nerd). Shows what a good education can do and not do. I've got some size 12 crocs red, would you like them? You kept me and the Misus up 'til 2am crying our eyes out, while I did the ironing and shortening her trousers ready for her interview.....so much for an early night in preparation. Cum up North mate and educate the rich socialites, yep, they will be on the front row waiting for the shoes or any kind of apparel ridicule, can't wait. Good luck and god bless.

Elizabeth on Wednesday, 21 September 2011

Oh Tim, you are sublime....when you rhyme.....in time.....would you like a lime....... OMG please give me a job writing some lyrics for you!!! I'm coming to see you in Melbourne next year. I cannot wait. You first came to my attention a few years ago when I saw you on TV and then unfortunately I kinda forgot about you for a few years :' ( but then I came across you again on You Tube and I just fell in love with you. You are completely nuts and incredibly talented. I can play your songs over and over and over again. It's so hard to choose but I think my favourite is 'Not Perfect'. To be honest I'm a little obsessed, you can't tell can you.....? Elizabeth xo

Spencer Whaley on Wednesday, 21 September 2011

Seeing your shown in Dallas on Oct. the 8th! Driving all the way from North West Arkansas, but totally worth it. Can't wait!!!

Suze on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Comedy prom - brilliant (though still not enough even though I have it on download from iPlayer), and then the bonus of watching 'live' late last night whilst lying awake with a ridiculously painful trapped nerve in my shoulder. Laughed so much it hurt, hurt so much it made me cry, cried so much it made me laugh. Thank you, Tim xx

Hayley on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Saw you at Beautiful Days festival this year (well, I was in the tent, I didn't actually manage to see the screen due to being shorter than the giants in front of me) and it was fantastic.

Phyl on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Hey man, I'm going to see the show at the end of the month in Detroit. I can't wait! It's going to be about a 6 hour drive for me to come to the show, but it's going to be completely worth it. Been following your stuff on Youtube for the last 2 years, and I can't wait to hear your show live and in its entirety. Unfortunately my wife won't be coming with me, though sadly she doesn't like your work. It's to "risque" for her tastes. I think your work is genius though. Your mastery on the piano amazes me. Have a safe flight in, and have fun man.

Kate Roberts on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Like one of your other fans, I watched the Comedy Prom and was totally blown away by how fantastically talented you are! I have since bought all your dvds and have watched loads of clips on You Tube and I can't get enough of your humour and music. You're brilliant and I can't wait to see you live, Tim!! xx Ps. I totally agree with you about the word stockbroker!!!!

James and Claire on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

wooooooooo seeing you live on Friday for third time since December, cant believe you agreed to come to Carlisle.

Bridie McGlynn on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

Any chance of you performing in Spain?? Please!!

Tim on Tuesday, 20 September 2011

I only discovered your work tonight on the TV randomly. I have not seen such an entertaining show in a long time and will now have to get to see one of your gigs. I want to eat some of your fruit of peace.

Can you believe this *prejudice*? Clearly you need to take your fight to places like Denmark! http://www.stuff.co.nz/world/australia/5651042/Redheads-rejected-as-sperm-bank-bans-deposits

Abbi on Monday, 19 September 2011

Hey Tim, My boyfriend and I LOVE your stuff. Downloading everything on iTunes isn't enough, so can you come to Adelaide again so we can see you live? (We missed you last time!) Pretty sure that would make our year! Cheers, Abbi

Valéria on Sunday, 18 September 2011

Hello, Tim! I've met your job in internet, cos in Brazil doesn't sell your DVDs. Many brazilians loves your job and you need to come here.

Ruth Conway on Saturday, 17 September 2011

We had to stay in the night of the comedy proms despite being invited by some friends for a meal. Our lovely labradoodle Bronwyn was very ill and making a slow recovery from toxic poisoning, we weren`t certain she would live. So we sat down to watch the comedy proms, words can`t express how much we enjoyed it especially your song about the baby sleeping or not! You gave us some laughter when we most needed it, thank you. Bronwyn has now made a full recovery and is back to her doodling ways.

traci thomas on Saturday, 17 September 2011

hi tim.. one more thing: my fiance and i cannot wait to see you in dallas, texas on october 8, 2011!! we have just become recent fans through some serendipitous fortune, and just cannot stop watching your videos, and listening to your music.. and i just found "drowned" about a week ago.. daaayyyy-um!! (yes, i am texan! ha).. we were wondering if you could sing something for us at your show on 08oct? we will be sitting a couple of rows back, stage right center.. our wedding is the week after (oct 16), and if you are free, you are definitely invited to come party with us!

traci thomas on Saturday, 17 September 2011

hey tim! i just discovered your song, "f sharp", and gotta tell you, i have always sung "you light up my life" by debbie boone (from a million years ago), a quarter to a half step sharp while playing it on the piano.. always.. it's a horrid song, and i thought it sounded best this way.. ha... i love hearing that you are into singing like that, too.. very awesome!!

Jordan, a fellow Ranga on Saturday, 17 September 2011

Mr Minchin, I need your advice. Middle-aged people are constantly pulling out their iPhones, HTC's and other asian manufactured technologies to show me YouTube videos of you. I love your work and have seen the majority of your online videos, but now it has reached the stage where I have seen them all about 30 times, involuntarily. Perhaps what is even more frustrating is the fact that it takes this not old, yet not young age group about 30 minutes to actually access these videos. How do I politely tell these people to put their fucking phones away and that I have seen said video many times before, without reaching that point where I, as a member of Generation Y, become infuriated and snatch the phone away, exclaiming "You don't even know how to fucking use this, you old man/woman!" Perhaps you could make some blatant racist remark or support third-trimester abortions so that people generally disprove of you (e.g. "Tommy, turn that off....that Tim Minchin is a bad man!") and boycott your work, so that us younger, desensitised people can enjoy your comedy in peace?

Sarah on Friday, 16 September 2011

You have a really beautiful voice that touches my heart every time I hear it. Quite frankly, I could listen to you singing on a loop all day. I have recently become quite addicted to listening to you sing "You'd better be home soon" - just sung "cold" in a TV studio - at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGdmX9_41xc&feature=related It made me realise I have heard that song many times before without ever really listening to the lyrics. But you made the song so meaningful. Just how much talent should one human being be allowed to have??!!!

Snow on Thursday, 15 September 2011

All I can say is thank you. I am currently pregnant and suffering from all day nausea. I have been re-watching clips of you on youTube and for the past hour and a half I have forgotten how awful I feel. Thank you for the brief relief you have given me. You are fantastic and incredibly talented keep it coming!

Joel Swindler on Wednesday, 14 September 2011

Hey, Really you should come back to the States and pop in a visit to Wichita KS. Set up a show with ' Intrust Bank Arena'. Love your material and really want to see your show live. If you think you would have trouble filling the arena we have a building called 'century 2' and the 'Cotillion'. The Cotillion is decent but pretty sure you would want the Century or the Arena. Please come here... Please ready to buy tickets and I'll be checking in. Also, you actually do good in Dallas? It just seems Americans would be very judgmental of you there.. Maybe not

Joanna G on Wednesday, 14 September 2011

Kyle Moore on Wednesday, 14 September 2011

A buddy of mine had me listen to "If I didn't have you" and I laughed. I laughed and laughed and laughed. And then I looked you up, and I realized how spectacular you are. How talented and amazing... You inspire me, and I wanted to thank you for that. You rock and I love you and I wish you all the happiness in the world with your career!! You are indeed one very talented human being. Don't change! :D

Siobhan Ross on Tuesday, 13 September 2011

Cairns Queensland needs you, Tim I educate as many as possible and play your DVDs to mates who need cheering up,( along with vino and other poisons) but I'm getting tired, I need your help to educate the many uneducated lost souls who badly need your brilliant, quirky , insightful, funny, majestic, sexy, inspirational, witty, awesome persona personally here.........Yes I will make cookies, yes I'll dye my hair red in your honour, yes I will buy more DVDs to help the cause, Love n Laugh lots Siobhan xx

Cheryl Ross on Monday, 12 September 2011

I stumbled upon the Pope Song on YouTube a few days ago and you are now my new favorite-est person in the world! Miraculously, I googled you and discovered you're performing in Detroit in two weeks. Obviously, divine intervention was at work here, or possibly lucky timing. EIther way, I bought tickets!

Rebecca on Monday, 12 September 2011

Mr Minchin, you're so f'ing rock. Thanks for the hugs and chat last night at the Australian Talent event. It made my otherwise completely shitty year (you are so sweet, I now have the most enormous crush on you!) I don't think I can ever wash again now - so... errr... thanks for that! I hyperventilated all the way home and sang at the top of my voice about hating Jews [...], so... errr... thanks for that! And finally I will love you forever for facilitating my discovery of the Axis of Awesome! Love ya! Rx

Caroline on Monday, 12 September 2011

You're causing premature wrinkles from me laughing all the time as I watch you on YouTube! Can't wait to see you in Melbourne this Feb - it'll be my first live Minchin. I seem to be the only one happy that the ABC broadcast of the Sydney performance was mucked up & delayed... I'd never heard of you until turning the telly on at that particular time. So it was all for me! Now I'm addicted.

Kevin on Friday, 9 September 2011

Thank-you for writing songs with lyrics. Real lyrics and not just repeating noises that are easy to remember. Thank-you for being honest and not caring who is offended by the truth. Thank-you for making me laugh for a moment, because that is precious. Keep going. Cheers, -K

Caroline Turner on Thursday, 8 September 2011

Hi, Tim! I'm a new fan....this summer, urged by my daughter to watch your DVDs. She was right, and you grew on me..... so we rarely shop without canvas bags, and totally avoid the taboo word, unless in the context of grating it for curries....and we don't make any bears dance that don't want to....We'd like to come to New York to see you early November, but it's not likely that will work out.........Have you been to Toronto before? How about doing a show here?

Haakon Hasslan on Thursday, 8 September 2011

Ever considered doing a show in Norway? I for one would very much appreciate it!

Cordula Klein Goldewijk on Tuesday, 6 September 2011

Hey tim, please come to holland to do a gig!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa on Tuesday, 6 September 2011

Well Tim, because of you I am going to go to hell. I liked the idea of floating up to heaven but apparently I've discovered that I'm not spiritual and will just have to deal with the fact that I have wheelchairs and walking sticks to poke people with to look forward too. My 7 year old keeps singing about pigs, my 15 year old keeps singing about shaking babies and all I can think about it is bloody canvas bags when I am shopping. Forget food, I just need bags. Oh and before I forget, I want to thank Sarah for allowing us to share in the world of Tim, we all know behind every great man stands a better woman! Damn, now I'll be banned from gigs too, as well as heaven!

Jadyn Thone on Tuesday, 6 September 2011

^^ Once upon a time a year 12 student wrote an essay about two of your songs, commented on your guest page, was pleasantly surprised by a personal reply and later on received the only A in the class. Three years later, that same student is studying a Bachelor of Secondary Education (English), and thinking about using your songs in assignments again due to their deep and provocative messages. Thank you, Tim, for being such a musical and lyrical genius. I cannot fathom the amount of effort required to sing, act and play at the same time. I hope you, your wife and children are well - Wine in the Sun brought tears to my eyes the first time I heard it. Keep on being a national idol :) - Jadyn Thone

Lionel on Monday, 5 September 2011

I Think you are a great person, your songs have very good messages. Will you be visiting the Global Atheist Convention in Melbourne next year ? Cheers, Lionel

Julieanne on Sunday, 4 September 2011

I have to say you really brighten my day - not only because of your wonderful performances and amazing musicianship, but also because you are a really decent, sincere and honourable person. I love the fact that you are prepared to give your opinion and defend it in the face of some pretty loopy gainsayers. And when I read comments like the one from Ariel, 11, who says you make her proud to be an Australian, and another from the young woman who thanked you for making her mother laugh when she hadn't laughed in a very long time, well I just think that you are the BEST. I hope you are buoyed by all your supporters, of whom there are many. We need your talent, wit and the immense dose of kindness and humanity you bring to every performance. As an Australian, I think we should make you one of our National Treasures!

Rikard Nilsson on Sunday, 4 September 2011

Hey Tim! Will you ever come to Sweden? Me and my friends would love it if you could do a show in Stockholm :D Oh, and I would be a very happy puppy if I could find you on Spotify as well so I could listen to you while travelling (Drowned is very good, but one song is not enough for longer journeys). Anyway, best of luck and I hope to see more of your fantastic face on DVD:s, youtube and wherever you pop up, Comedy Prom was awesome!

Emily on Sunday, 4 September 2011

Having lived in London for 8 years, I'm gutted that I never saw you live while I was there. My husband and I love your humour and we are still laughing about 'prejudice'. pure genius. Is there any chance you could come to Berlin for a show?

Anneloes Wassenaar on Sunday, 4 September 2011

Any way you can get yourself a gig in a Dutch theatre? Preferably in Leiden, but the country's not that big, so basically any venue will do. I think you may count on a fair turnout :)

Ariel Sale on Sunday, 4 September 2011

Hi Tim! im ariel.i am 11 I love your songs and are so jealous that you get to play on those beautiful pianos.:) Im seeing your show on feb the 4th.i can't wait! Could you maybe write a song on indian hygene issues? I saw the painting of you at the Archibalds and i thought it was a winner! Its soo great that you'r aussie and performing world wide because it makes me proud to be australian. Thank you so much for doing what you do and breaking out of a Pollitically Correct world!
