Right now I'm listening for the umpteenth time to the soundtrack of Matilda, while I'm trying to do a family tree update. Doesn't work, I have to stop and listen to the songs instead. I took the whole family to see the Melbourne production, and we still talk about how wonderful an experience it was. I read about your recent horrible frustrations and disappointments, and after a lifetime in graphic design, I understand a little about what you are feeling, but PLEASE be assured that your work is brilliant and will last for many decades to come. If I had the cash to make your projects/dreams/nightmares come to fruition I would do it in a flash. Be strong, and understand that so many people you will never get to meet think you're ACE!
