Your music is the only thing getting me through a teaching prac in an insanely religious school. Thank you for keeping me sane.

Hi Tim. I'm an agnostic in southern Oregon, USA…Maybe , I'm the only one. Today, I listened to White wine in the sun. It was the first time since I played it to the most wonderful Mum a man could ask for. She left this earth, last January. No, I don't know where she went. But she sure did love that song. I played it for her last Christmas, when she was so ill. I just want to tell you thank you, for putting a smile and a tear to both of our faces. I bought a park, this summer. No, its a first for me. I bought it, because Mum would have wanted me to. Mum used to swim there, with all us kids, in the best swimming hole in Oregon. . I'm naming it Merete's Cove after my Mum.Its one of the worlds most beautiful places. I'm trying to build a beautiful bandstand there. Mum loved music. I welcome you to sing there someday. I know its a little crazy. But including you, there would be at least two Atheists near the stage. Three including my sweet daughter, Brook, who also loves your music. Maybe I dream too big……. Either way, My family will be listening to white wine in the sun, this Christmas, and thinking of Mum.

Hi Tim, I am absolutely pumped to see Matilda in Melbourne next year after hearing the 'F sharp' song (how do you sing like that?! Although I can barely sing along when I'm practicing piano myself..) and then found out you were the composer I booked tickets for my mum and I. I hope you keep writing music for musicals and movies and even though I haven't seen Matilda yet, I've been listening to the soundtrack and you have written the songs with heart and purpose. P.S I wish you were playing the piano in the orchestra for it but I'm sure whoever is the pianist will do a great job :) Keep up the talent! Laura.

I overheard a co-worker, who I'd heard was a musician, tell someone she was an atheist. So I emailed her an intro and list of my favorite TM bits to check out on YouTube. Next day, I asked if she'd had a chance to listen. Her response, "OMG, I watched everything on YouTube, then the 2 1/2 hour NetFlix special, and THEN I ordered tickets to Mathilda!" I've never felt so proud :) Thank you for sharing what is in your mind, Tim, the world is a better place for it. Can't wait until you're in San Francisco again. Cheers,

Hi Tim - My wife and I saw you in Thousand Oaks on Saturday and said "hello" afterwards. We're the couple from Phoenix who mentioned to you that I played piano and sang at her over the Internet and in return she married me. Pretty good trade, honestly. We made it back safely, by the way. Anyway I just wanted to drop a note to say thank you for such a fantastic show, and your transformative influence on my life. I'm very very very happy to be able to say that I shook your hand, and I'm very very very sad that I declined to be in the picture that you took with my wife. Come back soon!

Happy, Happy Birthday, Tim!! A non-related birthday thought. I have the pleasure of serving food to the homeless on Sunday night. Most of the people who eat there have been attending for a long time, and I'm very attached to them. Last Sunday, I wore my "Matilda" T-shirt. The guys have all renamed me "Matilda." I've decided my Matilda T-shirt will be my Sunday evening attire from here on out.

Tim, you are my favorite singer, songwriter, comedian, poet, and philosopher. Knowing you are out there spreading rational thought gives me hope for the human race. Have a very happy birthday!

Hello, Mr Minchin, Tim Minchin or (insert preferred name address here). Sorry, just had to get this one out of the way, as I am 17 and that's the awkward age when some people older than you you call by Nick name or first name and to others you refer in the the formal form of "Sir/Madam/Mr/Mrs (insert last name)". My name is Taisiya, I am from Russia, but currently living in Perth, WA, and as I mentioned earlier, I'm 17. I have been following your work for 2 years now and I wanted to say a big thanks to you for helping me become more open-minded. Enough for me to be able to consider all facts and logical evidence on the problem and from that draw reasonable conclusions, but not enough for my brain to fall out.yone who tries to throw some at me.

Wonderful. Only critique: you could use a lesson from Vladimir- the silences in between the notes are just as important. Otherwise; loved your message!

Would you really eat cookies from a fan? I assume not, but my husband and I would totally bake you some. We have really enjoyed all of your performances and interviews, both comedic and serious. So few celebrities are talented, well-read and decent human beings all at once. I hope you continue unleashing your brilliance on the world, and if you tell us what mailing address to use we will bake you some awesome cookies.

Tim Minchin, HELLO! I am Steven Gonzalez, I am 16 years old and have been playing piano for 5 years now. I love it! I love playing piano in all forms, I love rocking out, I love doing some soloing, but i love nothing more than playing your songs. Mr.Minchin, you are my idol. I look up to you more than ive ever looked up to anyone. I deleted every song from my phone and have only your live albums, (Plus "Drowned" and the matilda soundtrack) I know you dont need me to tell you this, but, YOU ARE SO FREAKING BRILLIANT. I feel the best critisism of a song is, "You get everything you can get out of the song the first time you heart it." This is the total oppoiste from your music. I have listened to some of your songs probably hundreds of times and yet, everytime I listen to them I feel I get something new out of it. PLEASE RELEASE MORE THINGS! A book, a 4-track CD, ANYTHING! I just want to give you my money.! You are the greatest piano player, musician, perfrormer, lyricist and person who has ever lived. Let's play piano sometime? A Fellow Rock n' Roll Nerd, Steven Gonzalez

Hi Tim, You are such an amazingly gifted individual in so many different crafts that I find myself watching you over and over again. My daughter turned me on to you and said, "Don't you think grandma would have liked him?" The answer was, "Yes, she would have loved him!" My mom was a professional piano player and her favorite stuff to play was silly, old songs from the 20's, 30's and 40's, but especially parodies. I grew up listening to her play crazy, little, unknown tunes, then sharing with my friends. I have so missed her and can't begin to thank you enough for working hard to become famous so you could share this great musical niche. <3 <3 <3
