Here’s a place you can leave random comments about stuff that you feel isn’t particularly related to the News. Maybe you just want to say hi. Maybe you want to critique a piece of my work. Maybe you want to ask me where I live and come and bring me cookies. Whatever. Stick it in the box down below.

Oh, and please don’t post links or email addresses, or the spambot filter robot will take offence and refuse to publish.

You were so amazing at Reading festival that guy who yelled "Tim Minchin is a cunt" stood right in front of me and you dealt with him so well, be nice and fuck off. You were the highlight of my entire weekend, had wanted to see you live for ages and I was so happy to see you that I actually cried with happiness afterwards. Love your stuff so much.

Matt Moore on Tuesday, 30 August 2011

What a Blissfull Hands on for that Steinway! ... Oh l could go on for hours but l do not have them so it leaves me nothing but this - Thankyou Mr Minchin, you a unsurpassable darling! ;)

Holy crap, sir. You'll play in Boulder. If I'm not mistaken, I live there. Or should I say here? ...Yep. That's definitely Boulder outside. The point is.... Sweet Jesus, the luck I have. See you in October.

Tiffany on Tuesday, 30 August 2011

Please, please, please, please, please, come to Canada! Specifically, Alberta, Canada. I live in a very large country and would have to drive for days to see you in Ontario or Quebec. I would be forever grateful and would even purchase a t-shirt or maybe even a hoodie should you grant my request in a timely manner. Thanks in advance!

James on Tuesday, 30 August 2011

So er, put simply, you're a legend. Rock n Roll nerd is basically my life bar a few bits. Should you ever feel the need to pass on your talent in the form of piano lessons then please do inform me!

Lucy Alice Whitten on Monday, 29 August 2011

HELLOOOO :o) Just the thought of you actually seeing/reading even skimming this makes me full of adrenalin. from the ends of my hair to the last inch of my toes. Now, I'm gunna be honest here. You....Tim Minchin are probably... I dunno, what am I trying to say. Well, you inspire me more than you could ever imagine. You touch my soul like a a baby clinging to a finger.... You fill me with appreciation, enthusiasm, inspiration, passion. I feel tingly when I see/watch even think about you. Sorry if I come across as slightly mad. (I am a wee bitty). I have never looked up to someone I have never met before in my whole life. I feel I know you. I feel you when I watch you. I have tickets for Live & Ungagged. Counting down the days till the day I see you in flesh and feel your intense witty humour floating over me. Stay true to yourself. forever. Your so frickin' beautiful inside and out. I'm gunna say bye now, I've said enough... See you in a month or so. *HAPPY WAVES*

N x on Monday, 29 August 2011

You were amazing at Leeds festival, the first time I've ever got to see you live even though I've watched your dvds and youtube clips for ages! I hope you saw me at the barrier on your left! And I wish you had longer, I'd have put you on the main stage over Pulp and Madness any day! You're so witty and intelligent and I love that for once in a while someone in the public eye is honest in their opinions all the time! You just ooze charm and charisma and I know I, along with most of the crowd, were weakened at the knees by you! Especially when you just popped your head around onto the stage during the "Minchin!" chanting! Carry on being a rock 'n' roll nerd forever! England loves you! P.s. pulling the floor lighting off so you could have the "Muse effect" for Dark Side was "So f*****g rock!!!" <3 xxx

Ben Green on Monday, 29 August 2011

My friend posted a vid of one of your songs on Facebook and since then I haven't been able to stop watching/listening to whatever I can find of your work on Youtube. You are absolutely amazing and I think it would be awesome if you could possible come to Calgary, Alberta, Canada!

Sally on Monday, 29 August 2011

You make me go weak at the knees! And it's not the accent! You ooze "I'm good" in a very charming, charasmatic way :o) Bring your beautiful, multi talented self to Chester, we have a small theatre there that only seats 130 people, but hey ..... you'd be very welcome! And I can spood feed you ice-cream in the interval ... :o)

Paul Douglas on Monday, 29 August 2011

Tim, I have just watched the comedy night at the proms and thoroughly enjoyed your hosting of it. You made me smile from the beginning and I am still chuckling now. Tim I just wanted to tell you that I love your logic and honesty in refering to any subject... It is nice and refreshing to listen your songs :D Great job. I am from Guatemala, Central America and I just wish to be at UK one day to see you perform, mean while I will continue enjoying videos at Youtube XD

Ariel Fernandez on Friday, 26 August 2011

Hey there Tim!Love your work. I just wanted you to know that I first knew about you and your carrer thanks to Penn Jillette´s Penn Point at DailyMotion video search engine(later on I found out that it was on Youtube). The episode that reffers to your work is called "An Atheist Family Christmas" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CkXxkfu8dGs). He got the message of the song so well, that it grew on me (like a tumour, off course) and I started looking after you. I´m a big fan now. The thing is that I´m not able to get any official merch since I live in Argentina(South of Latin America). Is there any way to get anything from here?. Keep on f@cking rocking our asses, Tim!. Sincerily, Ariel (I´m a dude, by the way. haha!)

Katie on Wednesday, 24 August 2011

You sir, Have made my life a lot easier :). Anytime i hae a bad day, get annoyed, someone pisses me off....whatever. I knwo i can go hiome and listen to your songs, and relax :D You are a talented talented man. You are so open and so legendary in your own way and i just love it :) Can't wait to see you in Detroit.

Chris on Wednesday, 24 August 2011

I so desperately want to send you money. Lots of money. Only catch, I would like a DVD that can play in the US, or a digital download that isn't infested with DRM b/c I'm the one person without an iPod/iPhone/iAnything. Is the US too small a market? I think we can scrounge up enough customers to make a US DVD workable. OK, enought b$tch$n. Love you, perplexed by your store. If such items are available and I missed them, then I am an idiot. Where are they????

Raminta on Wednesday, 24 August 2011

HI! Ill take the risks and will say (write) that you're legendary. Absolutely love your ironic-intellectual (sometimes not too much =>) songs. Those cheers me up every time I listen to them. Though you should consider recording CD. I ain't expecting you'll come to Lithuania (though would definitely would buy a ticket and it would be amazing) but hopin' that I'll have a chance to hear (see) your life performance! Best luck in continuing your career! Cheers! Raminta P.S. Björn Ericson your comment rocks. OMG n ROFL. lols

Tigerlilly on Tuesday, 23 August 2011

I'll be very unoriginal and ridiculously ironic in so many ways: Tim Minchin > god apple cart was best day of my life! i got my family to stubbornly stand close to the front for an hour and a half to get a good view, can't wait to see the comedy prom on tv :)

Julie W on Tuesday, 23 August 2011

Hello Tim, just listened to the Comedy Proms and can't wait to see the visual! Can't bring you cookies but you are welcome to bring em to me and I will pamper to your every need. Sorry not able to see Matilda opening in the West End (lack of funds), which i find very frustrating. Anyway - good luck and keep the cookies flowing

Joe Schofield on Tuesday, 23 August 2011

You were amazing at the Beautiful Days Festival!!! My girlfriend and I were right behind the people with your name on their face.. Little did you know that plastered alll over my chest were the words 'I LOVE TIM MINCHIN.' Would have absolutely loved to meet you afterwards but had no idea where to find you :'( Definitely going to one of your future shows!! Anything around Cornwall/Devon?? :D LOVE YOU TIM!!! <-- It's a bromance.

Charles on Tuesday, 23 August 2011

Tim, please try to make a tour through Western Europe, a lot of people are waiting for you! It's quite unfair how the British can enjoy concert after concert but you never come to Germany, France, Netherlands, Belgium, etc. :( It doesn't matter where you would play, I'd take my car and drive there just to hear and see you live once. Although there are no words to define your work and talent, let's just say that you are a fucking genius.

Hiram on Tuesday, 23 August 2011

you buoy me. i am working through one of the most difficult and challenging periods of my short 47 years, and you have made me laugh out loud, enough to snort beer from my nose, and cry unabashedly in Joy aware of the Human condition with all its struggles and Beauty. American (sorry) by heritage, British by birth, and stuck "here" (San Fransisco bay area) i wish to have the chance to see you in person, if only once. thank you for your honesty your Art your voice and making a difference.

ElastiGirl_ on Thursday, 18 August 2011

Had so much fun meeting you in Washington, DC. Saw you in Brooklyn, too. And now you're coming back to NYC--yay! Six hours on the bus and an overpriced hotel night, but you're worth it. I'm taking my stepdaughter as a bat mitzvah present. Is that as inappropriate as it sounds? Shh... It's a surprise. She thinks you're almost as hot as Justin Bieber! (I know, I know--but that's high praise for a 13-year-old.) And before y'all rush to call Child Protective Services, please understand I'm working overtime to overcome the influence of her mother's fuckwit evangelical husband. Desperate times... After seeing you three times in six months, I'm thinking of following you like the Grateful Dead, but what would I call myself? But seriously... I'm planning a trip to Australia, and it would be a real waste if you weren't there when I was. So please let us know when and where you'll be, pretty please? Might you be doing any shows when you go home for Christmas?

Amber Katri on Wednesday, 17 August 2011

Saw you at the opera house this year, and was just blown away (first time live - was expecting no less!)... I could not weave a complimentary sentence adequate enough to express my admiration for your work. Thank you! When are you coming back to Australia again!

rob jones on Wednesday, 17 August 2011

Debbie on Tuesday, 16 August 2011

I have only just properly discovered Tim (although I did see him on Buzzcocks and loved him!) and I've spent the last 2 days at work listening to stuff on Youtube and giggling!! I'm hoping I won't get sacked, especially as some of it is quite rude and maybe not entirely suitable for work, but it's brightened up my day no end - I spent all night last night humming the tune to Perfect, it's just so wonderfully melancholy! I love the fact that it's good music as well as being really funny and actually challenging - I was a bit shocked at first, by the Pope song, but then I just found myself agreeing with Tim! I've even introduced Tim to my best friend (who is my comedy guru, but for once I've found something before him) and we're hoping to see him live - keep up the good work Tim, you are a genius - and as a "Ginger" with an anagram husband(!), I salute you!

Sara on Tuesday, 16 August 2011

This is a kind of depressing story, but it's also amusing, depending on how you look at it. I wanted to introduce you to my friend Tara (through videos, if not physically), because I am in love with your songs and you make me so happy. But, unfortunately, Tara is afraid of monkeys and apes and... with your red hair and big, be-eyelinered eyes, she thought you looked too much like an orangutan to watch. She's frightened of you. She can't even talk about you now. I feel bad because I think I may have traumatized her a little, but I am also kind of amused. Oh well. I can quote you to her and not tell her who said it. Or say it was Shakespeare or something. How often do you hear something like that, Tim? Love, Sara P.S. For the record, I think orangutans are perfectly cute.

Sean McVeigh on Monday, 15 August 2011

Absolutely magic Tim You are the dogs nuts mate. The music you write is quality and then the lyrics you put to it are hillarious. Always very hip to the current climate and very unafraid as all good groundbreaking comedy should be. You are continuing a good tradition of musical comedy from that part of the world and excelling at it. kudos mate. Keep it up. You nutjob!

Simon McGrath on Saturday, 13 August 2011

Hi Tim, I think I may be going a little crazy. I've got all your CD's in my car and keep singing them to myself all day ........................and night actually. I've seen you at Kings Park under the stars, His Majesty's Theatre and the Perth Concert Hall. I'll be at your next concert for sure. I was wondering if you and the family could pop over for a cup tea or a glass wine (in the Sun) over Christmas. We live in Cottesloe and spotted you on the beach last Christmas but thought it best to leave you alone to enjoy your family. PS I've pre ordered Matilda from the RSS .........cant wait.

Captain on Saturday, 13 August 2011

Luke Kelly on Thursday, 11 August 2011

Yeah Tim... You need to do another tour, SOON! and come to Warrington (cheshire, UK). I know you're busy with the music and lyrics and more production stuff to do with the RSC's production of Matilda, which by the way is cool :) but still a tour would be very very VERY nice for everyone. Much love...

Jack on Thursday, 11 August 2011

MATE, everything you do is brilliant. I've referred you to mobs. Ironically, I live (near) Perth too. but, that's got fuck all to do with why i like your stuff. Jill (the wench) and I, both have MATHS degrees. yeah - some sort of noise here - BUT, we like your shit. Actually BIG fans of the "Hallelujuh" clip. BBQ in Perth (Mandurah) whenever you're ready!!! Tabitha Maser-Clarke on Monday, 8 August 2011

Hellooo! Yesterday i saw Tim at the Apple Cart Festival, and it was the best experience of my life. It was absolutely fantastic but sadly it was too short. I saw him at the Royal Albert Hall, and loved all the new songs, and that was the best night of my life. I was pleased for him to do the new songs, even without the orchestra. I couldn't believe i was standing so close to my idol, and it was just the best thing ever... THANKS TIM! (: xoxo

Alexandra on Monday, 8 August 2011

TIM, I'm just gonna go ahead and be as unimaginative as most people on here and ask you straight out to marry me. ;) Seriously though, I absolutely lurved your July 31st gig in Montréal and pray that you'll be back very very soon. I hope I manage to sit in the front again, so I can admire your wonderful face (of course should you lean over the piano again, I also get to catch a very choice glimpse of yer bum). Your show left me giggly and light-hearted, it was completely amazing. Love you, hope you and yours are having a smashing summer! Alex xxx

Kalle Haisler Lindbjerg on Friday, 5 August 2011

Hey Tim. Will you please come to Denmark? Me and many of my friends are huge fans, and we think, that it would just be such an amazing experience, actually seeing you live on stage. I really hope that you will visit Denmark. According to some clever guys, 86 procent of the danish population speaks danish, meaning that your humour will be understood and appreciated (at least by every single person, i have spoken to about you)! Really hoping to see you some day. Kindest regards, Kalle

Sam on Thursday, 4 August 2011

Tim, I teach science in a very rural Texas middle school. Much to the chagrin of my colleagues, the parents of my students and some of the students themselves, ("You are lying to us. This is all lies [sic.]") I continue to teach reason, logic and rational thought over faith, the supernatural and, of course, utter bullshit. I love your work. If you are ever in Houston, I'm sure my school would love nothing better than a nappy-haired, eye-shadowed Aussie to come sing a song about why herbs won't cure cancer and how religion makes you think that people can live inside of a fish, fly through the air, walk on water and generally be a huge dickface to everybody around you. There's literally a church that rents out my school on Sundays. Ugh. Yours, Sam

Björn Ericson on Thursday, 4 August 2011

I don't know if you´re straight or gay, but if I were (and you were too) i'd very much like to marry you.

Vorph on Wednesday, 3 August 2011

Tainara on Wednesday, 3 August 2011

Hey Tim, your musics are great, congratulations! I really would like that some of your DVDs had legends on portuguese, my english sucks, but it's enought to realise how nice your compositions are. Kisses, come do Brasil :D

Just wanted to say I first saw you on Craig Ferguson a few months ago and fell in love. I live in the US, Long Island, NY; I drove to PA August 2011 to see you. I was amazed to get a chance to talk to you; my infatuation just keeps growing. I would love to see you again and bring fiends along. Please let me know when you will be in NY again, I missed you the last time!!! Take care, Rita

Conor on Monday, 1 August 2011

Hi, i've been addicted to your youtube videos ever since i saw you on Jonathon Ross a while back, and I have to say, you're a genius. Aside from the obvious musical talent, and Muhammad Ali speed piano hands, it has to be said that your wit and intelligence is really astounding, i've had the same argument with my own "storm"s about a hundred times before I saw that video, and I couldn't stop laughing at the end of it. I love how you can deal with issues that people are so touchy about, in a serious but light hearted manner, it really hits home. And seems to have sent the trolls into overdrive. But mostly, white win in the sun. Just, unbelievable. My favourite Christmas song. Ok so there's my generic fan message, i'm gonna go and wash the brown from my nose.

ron on Monday, 1 August 2011

When are you coming to Auckland?

Mike Woods on Monday, 1 August 2011

Hello, I just recently viewed you on youtube, which will probably be the only place I actually get to see you perform as I am from Huntsville Alabama and I wanted to say that I enjoyed your music tremendously. I also heard a bit of you on NPR Friday as well and I enjoyed that also. Keep up the good work. Regards, Mike
