‘When I Grow Up’ – the AIMS charity single – available to download from midnight! Here’s the official video!

Tim’s song When I Grow Up, from the Royal Shakespeare Company’s multi-award winning, Matilda The Musical, has been released as a charity single and will be available to download/pre-order from just after midnight tonight (00:01 20th November) worldwide from iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and all global digital stores. There will be CDs available from HMV and Xtra-vision, in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, from the release date 27th November, 2015.
Produced by Stephen Macken, it was recorded at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre, Dublin, by the Association of Irish Musical Societies (AIMS) and features Shane Filan and Grace Lee and a chorus of over two thousand.

The proceeds of the single will go to two wonderful charities: the The Children’s Medical Research Foundation, Crumlin and The Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

Shane Filan, Grace Lee and the Association of Irish Musical Societies’ Children’s and Youth Ensembles will launch the single with a performance of the song on the TV3 Toy Show – 8pm on Friday 20th of November, so you’ll be able to watch that if you’re in Ireland.

Was at the 50 anniversary show so am part of the C. We left before the recording became available. We would like to purchase a copy so that the Charities get the benefit. How do I do that from the USA?

I watched and bought. As a Tim Minchin Fan, a choral director of students who loved singing “When I Grow Up”, and most importantly, the father of a neuroblastoma survivor, I had myself a good cry tonight. Good luck and thank you.
